  Honestly, I was really disappointed with my experience at Az Metals. I was hoping to support a local business and find a reliable source for my steel, but it was a complete letdown. As a knife maker, I regularly need a lot of high-end steel and wanted to try a local supplier instead of ordering online. My first visit was promising, but things quickly went downhill. I called to order some thick plate steel and have it cut, figuring it would be easier to manage the order that way. I was told to come in and wait in line, and ended up waiting over two hours! To make matters worse, it only took them about five minutes to cut each piece, and I watched others who arrived after me get their work done first. Then, when I finally got my steel, one of the pieces was already cut an inch too wide. I went back the next day to have it corrected, and again, I was made to wait, only for them to quickly complete the cut after others were served. It’s clear they don’t prioritize their customers. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend Az Metals to anyone. It’s frustrating to see local businesses struggle when customer service is so lacking. report abuse

  “I had a really straightforward request – needing a bicycle frame extended – and Doug was fantastic about it. I explained the details, he took notes, and then walked me through all my options.   I was really pleased with my experience working with AZ Metals. They connected me with Scott Moreno who helped me add a third tier to my existing dumbbell rack. I was looking to upgrade, but Scott suggested adding the extra level – it was a much more cost-effective solution than buying a new rack. The work he did was fantastic; it was seamless and looks completely integrated with the original construction. It was a really affordable and excellent job, and I’d definitely recommend AZ Metals and Scott’s services. report abuse
