  I was absolutely thrilled with the work Arizona Aircraft Painting did on my RV-7A. After five years of building it myself, often working late into the night, I wanted to have it look absolutely perfect, and they completely delivered.   We were thrilled with the transformation of our Piper Warrior II. When we bought it, it had a classic, if weathered, 1980s look with its original red and brown stripes. Recognizing the need for a proper refresh, we contacted Arizona Aircraft Painting at Falcon Field. They really stood out – their facility was incredibly modern and environmentally friendly, and they used high-quality paint, meticulously stripping the plane down to bare metal and applying an anti-corrosive coating. We particularly appreciated that Steve and Brian took the time to walk us through their process, even suggesting the installation of micro vortex generators, and connected us with a pilot who had already done it. We decided to have a polarized windscreen installed alongside the painting, which made sense from a cost perspective. We were also able to visit the shop regularly to watch the progress, and it was amazing to see our plane gradually return to looking brand new. The final result is stunning – a beautiful blue metallic stripe curving around the fuselage with a thinner silver stripe on white. They even gave her a fantastic name, Raquel Welch! It’s truly a gorgeous aircraft. report abuse

  Honestly, I was incredibly disappointed with the paint job on my aircraft. I’ve worked with a lot of shops over the years, but this was by far the worst I’ve ever experienced. They completely botched the masking on the stripes, creating a messy, uneven finish, and despite sending the plane back for correction, it still wasn’t right. They cited issues with their out-of-town team and poor quality control, which was concerning considering this was the eighth aircraft I’d had painted this year and the only one done by Arizona Aircraft Painted. I’m now facing a $15,000 bill for a small Cessna, especially after having two Cessnas and four Tecnam aircraft painted locally in Utah for significantly less money and with far superior results. report abuse

  “Arizona Aircraft Painting completely transformed my Piper Archer II – it’s amazing! They took the time to really assess the plane, pinpointing areas needing attention and proactively replacing parts damaged by hail. Beyond the repairs, they added some fantastic upgrades like vortex generators, upswept wingtips with landing lights, and LED navigation lights, all painted a stunning Porsche metallic cobalt blue with bronze and white accents. What I really appreciated was their ongoing support; they’ve been readily available to touch up the paint after I’ve had new avionics installed, ensuring everything looks perfect.   “Overall, the plane is in really good condition thanks to the thorough work done on it. The door seal was expertly repaired, and the caulking around the windows was neatly addressed. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail – the paint chips along the wing root were expertly touched up, and the cowling was completely refurbished with sanding, preparation, and a fresh coat of paint.
