Their price was the most competitive out of several quotes, and I appreciated the excellent service I received over the phone. They also went above and beyond when a panel was faulty, replacing it quickly and without any extra cost.   “Overall, our experience with High Desert Energy was incredibly frustrating and misleading. From the beginning, they presented a completely inaccurate picture of how our solar system would work. They assured us our power company would provide a full 1:1 credit for every kilowatt we generated, which turned out to be a blatant falsehood – we’re only receiving $0.04 per KWh, less than half of what we pay. Because of this misrepresentation, the system simply didn’t deliver on its promise of saving us money. Adding to the problem, we were unexpectedly charged $150 for a new meter to handle the reverse power flow, and nobody had informed us about this beforehand. And to make matters worse, the original sales representative, George, was completely unresponsive for weeks, offering only a vague promise to "look into it" before disappearing. The owner of High Desert Energy was also dismissive and unhelpful. On top of all that, Premier Solar Solutions (Suntria) damaged our patio roof during the installation, and we had to pay to fix it ourselves. Finally, High Desert Energy misled us about potential tax refunds, claiming it was a guaranteed credit when it’s actually just an offset that didn’t apply to our situation due to existing tax credits.” report abuse
