  Overall, we were absolutely thrilled with the three-season porch OA Design and Build created for us. Michael really listened to our concerns about preserving our garden and the ash tree, and he designed a truly beautiful space – it’s unlike anything we’ve seen. Instead of a standard rectangular porch, he crafted a unique design without parallel lines, which is both charming and stunning. The whole team – from Michelle the project manager to Sol, Stephen, and the subcontractors – were incredibly respectful, courteous, and did a fantastic job. From the initial ideas with Michael Anschel, all the way through to the final details, they struck just the right balance – they really listened to our input as homeowners while expertly managing the entire project. Our basement remodel involved a few different teams over a couple of months, and honestly, it was handled so seamlessly it never felt disruptive. We even got to meet and chat with the subcontractors as they arrived, and we were consistently impressed by their professionalism and the fact that they were all so enthusiastic about working with Otogawa-Anschel – a company with a fantastic reputation.   Working with OA was an absolutely fantastic experience. They completely revitalized our 1909 Dutch Colonial, transforming our outdated kitchen and adding a much-needed half bath and mudroom to the first floor. Ten years later, we still get so many compliments on the design – they really captured the charm of the original house while making it incredibly livable and functional. We were so impressed with their talent that we actually hired them again to remodel our second-floor bathroom.   Scott and Michael from OA were fantastic to work with during our recent remodel. They were incredibly open and responsive, always available when we needed them and quickly addressing any questions we had. Seriously, they were a huge help when we ran into a vendor issue, and they really stood by us throughout the whole process of finding the right materials.   “OA Design and Build completely transformed our small, outdated bathroom into a beautiful and incredibly functional space – it’s honestly like a whole new room! We were so impressed with the quality of their work, and it’s such a joy to spend time in. Despite the challenges of the pandemic and supply chain issues, they managed to keep us on schedule, only delaying the project by a few days, which we really appreciated. They were also incredibly considerate, taking great care to protect the rest of our house during the remodel. All the tradespeople – the electricians, plumbers, and tile installers – were top-notch.   Honestly, I was really impressed with their initial designs and how they presented their work. However, once we signed the contracts and they started the project, things went seriously downhill. They consistently over-promised and failed to deliver, and they completely avoided taking responsibility when their contractors caused problems. I was incredibly disappointed and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone – not friends, family, or anyone else. report abuse
