  Dan was fantastic – he, his son, and Al did an absolutely amazing job fixing the water issue in our rental house. We were really stressed about getting it resolved quickly and on a budget before the new renters arrived, but Dan stepped up and took care of everything perfectly. He immediately identified the problem with the stone fountain and exceeded our expectations, sticking to the agreed-upon price.   I couldn’t be more thrilled with the work Dan did – my basement is finally dry! He gave me a really clear estimate, explained everything thoroughly, and once we settled on a date, he tackled the job with efficiency and expertise. He installed an interior French drain, and surprisingly, it turned out we didn’t even need a sump pump! It’s been raining heavily lately, and I’m so relieved to have a completely dry basement thanks to Dan. He’s a truly professional, punctual guy who knows his stuff, and his prices were fantastic.   Dan and his team did a good job getting the work done on time and they were clearly putting in a lot of effort. However, unfortunately, the drainage system they installed isn’t working as it should. The sump pit was positioned too high, so the water just pools up at the lowest point in my basement instead of flowing into the pit and being pumped out. I contacted Dan several times over the past couple of months, and while he offered to reschedule, the problem remains. To make matters worse, Dan cut open the top of the sump pit cover, which is concerning as it’s not standard practice and goes against recommendations from home inspectors. He then tried to cover it with plastic bags, which was a temporary fix to a bigger issue. It seems he hadn’t properly assessed my needs when I inquired about a more powerful pump setup, and instead just went ahead and altered the system without giving me proper guidance. Ultimately, I’m still dealing with standing water and a dry french drain, and the sump pit itself is now empty and exposed. report abuse

  Dan did an absolutely fantastic job waterproofing my basement ten years ago. He installed a French drain system and sump pump, and honestly, we’ve never had a single water problem despite all the snow melt we get – it’s amazing!
