  “We absolutely fell in love with the house Dan built for us near downtown Birmingham back in 2015. It was just stunning – such a unique and beautiful design, and we received so many compliments on it. You could really tell how much care and attention to detail Dan and his team put into it, from the finishes to everything else. As our family grew, we sadly had to move to a larger property, but without hesitation, we turned to Dan and his team to renovate our new home. They were fantastic – so genuinely nice, respectful, always available, and incredibly reliable. We never worried about them being in our home, and they finished the renovation quickly and efficiently, working within the permit timelines.   Dan and his team did an absolutely amazing job renovating our first floor. We’ve lived in our home for 20 years, so we knew exactly what we wanted to change – we really wanted to modernize the interior while still keeping the original charm of the exterior. They completely transformed the kitchen, living room, dining room, and office, and everything was done on time and within budget.   I’m incredibly disappointed with the quality of work we received from Dan and his team after purchasing our home in 2012. While everything seemed fine initially, we quickly discovered a series of serious issues stemming from what appeared to be significant corners being cut during the remodel. Over the past several years, we’ve incurred tens of thousands of dollars in repairs due to this negligence. Dan assured us he oversaw all the work, but we’ve experienced a long list of problems, many of which weren’t apparent during the inspection. For example, just seven years after the remodel, the roof needed a complete tear-off and replacement – a fact confirmed by multiple roofing companies who described the original installation as one of the worst they’d ever seen. This led to extensive water damage throughout the house. We’ve also had issues with a collapsing closet, improperly connected appliances causing floor damage, and numerous areas where the flooring wasn’t correctly installed. Furthermore, some of the countertops were simply sitting on top of the cabinets, and the shower leaked due to a poorly prepared subfloor. Most recently, a new stove delivered in July 2020, revealed a gas connection that wasn't properly installed to code, and it appears that Dan's team knowingly bypassed building regulations. I strongly advise anyone considering working with Dan to be extremely cautious – the quality of work is simply unacceptable. report abuse

As first-time homeowners, my partner and I really appreciated their patience and guidance through every step of the process.
