“Our experience with Blue Raven Solar in South Lyon was really concerning. A couple of months ago, we were approached by two salespeople who seemed quite persuasive, even mentioning a connection to a neighbor. While initially appearing legitimate, the salesperson we met with was very evasive, dodging our questions and making us feel like he was evaluating us. He pressed us for a lot of personal information, including our Social Security numbers, and wouldn’t provide us with any details about pricing or how the solar system was supposed to work. It felt like they were more interested in getting our data than actually explaining the system. Ultimately, we left feeling like Blue Raven Solar was primarily focused on securing financing with high interest rates, with little regard for our individual energy production.”

“I’m really disappointed with the continued visits from your team. Despite letting them know multiple times – through customer support and directly to your ground crews – that I’m not interested in your services, the unwanted pitches have continued. I need you to respect my request and cease contacting me at my home.”
-
“Overall, this was a really difficult experience for us. We ended up having to reschedule our appointment six times, and we were very concerned when we were told conflicting information about whether someone had actually been to our house to complete the work – we only found out because we have home security cameras. Despite these frustrating issues, we want to acknowledge that everyone who came to our home and spoke with us was genuinely kind and helpful.”

Mack writes, “Aaron, our Regional Installation Manager in Denver, was a genuinely great guy to work with – and he was a fantastic Safety Inspector too. He’s a real pleasure to have around.”

Blue Raven truly went above and beyond. They were fantastic to work with – incredibly communicative and took the hassle out of everything. It was a really smooth experience, and I appreciated their support every step of the way.

Here’s a natural-sounding evaluation based on the text: “I was really disappointed with my experience with BRS. Initially, the representative assured me the warranty would cover the entire life of the loan, which was a major factor in my decision. However, the final contract revealed only a two-year warranty, and I only discovered this after weeks of reviewing the documents drafted by my HOA and BRS. To add to the frustration, I was charged a $1215 cancellation fee when I contacted them after the ‘no-cost cancelation period’ ended. Given that I live in Michigan, where we experience harsh weather, I’m incredibly concerned about being solely responsible for all maintenance and potential issues for just two years. I truly hope this feedback helps the next person considering BRS understand the warranty situation and avoid being charged a cancellation fee.”

Overall, this has been a really frustrating experience. I initially signed a contract almost a year ago, and despite my efforts to drive the project forward, we’re still without solar. I’ve essentially been handling most of the work myself, and communication has been incredibly lacking – no one seems to be taking ownership or proactively reaching out. Scheduling appointments has been a constant issue, with technicians always unavailable, and attempts to get updates or address the problem have been met with dead ends. I’m happy to report that things have finally come to a resolution, and I’m now using solar. However, the initial process was plagued by delays, missed appointments, and a severe lack of communication. I’d rate the install and sales team at a 5, and customer service and appointments met at a 4, but communication and paperwork received a 2 due to the significant issues I encountered.

“I was really impressed with the Blue Raven installation team. They were incredibly professional and friendly, taking the time to explain everything they were doing in a clear, step-by-step way. You could tell they were really focused on doing the job right and safely, and they used all the right tools and equipment. I wholeheartedly recommend them – their craftsmanship and equipment are top-notch.”

I’m incredibly frustrated with the experience we’ve had with Blue Raven. We installed our solar panels back in April, they were put on the roof in May, and it wasn’t until July when our township discovered they were there. Following that, the inspection failed due to a lack of proper procedure, which was eventually corrected. Despite this, the panels still haven’t been connected over a week in September, and Blue Raven has been consistently unhelpful, blaming other parties instead of taking responsibility for the issue. I’m extremely disappointed with their unprofessional conduct and will absolutely not be recommending this company to anyone.

Overall, the initial setup went smoothly, and they did a good job of getting things started. However, things quickly fell behind once we signed the contract, and we’ve been dealing with a lot of delays. Coordinating with the city inspectors has been particularly frustrating – they’ve repeatedly not shown up, which has put a serious halt to our work. We’re still quite far from getting the facility fully operational, so we’ll have to keep an eye on things and see how it progresses.
