What really stood out was his proactive approach – instead of simply tiling over a potentially unstable subfloor, he took the initiative to remove it and ensure a solid foundation. While this expanded the project slightly, Curtis was completely transparent and fair about the changes.   “I contacted CY Tri County Construction based on a friend’s recommendation and needed an estimate for a new front stoop and walkway. I initially spoke with Curtis through their Facebook page, but he didn’t respond to my first text. After a follow-up, he promised to contact me the following Friday to schedule a Saturday appointment. However, I still hadn't heard from him by 8 PM on Friday, and his response was incredibly unprofessional – he seemed dismissive of my time and acted like dealing with my project was a hassle. Ultimately, I decided to move on. His final reply, simply saying he was busy with other jobs and apologizing for my changing my mind, was the last straw. It’s clear CY Tri County Construction doesn't prioritize client communication or professionalism, and I wouldn’t recommend using their services if you’re looking for a reliable and courteous contractor.” report abuse

  My parents, both in their 70s, unfortunately had a really frustrating experience with this company. They hired them to install kitchen countertops and a garbage disposal, and they were initially quoted $800. However, it took two days to complete the job – seven hours on the first day and six on the second – with a trainee present. After the work was done, they were suddenly presented with a bill of $1500, claiming the extra cost was due to the trainee’s involvement and the extended time it took. Honestly, it seemed like an attempt to overcharge them, and the work itself was far more complicated than it should have been. Given the simple nature of the job, it could have easily been finished in a single day by one person. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look for a different contractor – their approach felt dishonest and exploitative. report abuse
