  Honestly, we were blown away by Tyler and his team at Design Draw Build. They completely transformed our home – they designed and expertly oversaw the construction of a beautiful 630 sq ft Accessory Dwelling Unit and a stunning 250 sq ft addition to our main house to create an amazing master suite. Throughout the entire process, from the initial design through to completion, their professionalism, kindness, and willingness to help were truly exceptional. They were fantastic at navigating the permitting process, guiding us through important decisions, and managing the construction site while we were still living there, even with a new baby! Tyler and the team really became like an extension of our family. There was always crystal-clear communication, and the final result is beyond what we could have hoped for.   Working with Design Draw Build on the Rock Paper Scissors Collective’s tenant improvement project was a fantastic experience. We were really looking for a local contractor – someone based right here in Oakland – and DDB quickly proved to be the perfect fit. From the start, they were a true collaborator, helping us translate our vision into a realistic plan and offering invaluable, professional guidance throughout the entire process. We initially worked with a third-party architect to develop the concept, and then DDB stepped in to expertly handle the pricing, navigate the permitting process, and refine the design as we built. Like many projects, particularly during the pandemic, it took a little longer than anticipated, but thanks to Tyler, Erik, David, and the whole team at DDB, we absolutely nailed it. The new Rock Paper Scissors Collective space at 2120 MLK is incredible, and we're excited to be opening to the public by June 2021 – we’d highly recommend checking it out! report abuse

  “We were absolutely thrilled with the work DDB did on our recent ADU and major remodel project. They really brought our plans to life, but what truly stood out was their incredible attention to detail. The crew consistently went above and beyond, taking the time to ensure every element was done to the highest standard – we’d often ask about specific details and they’d explain they were taking extra steps to guarantee quality. While they weren’t the cheapest option, we knew we were getting top-notch workmanship, and we’re still delighted with the results years later.   Honestly, I wasn’t very impressed with this architecture design and build company. The quality of their work just didn’t meet what I was hoping for, and there seemed to be a real lack of attention to detail. Communication was also a significant issue – it was all over the place, which led to several delays and a lot of confusion. I wouldn’t recommend using their services. report abuse
