  “Survey work really surprised me – it’s a surprisingly complex and important part of the home buying process. It’s often overlooked, and with so many companies offering the service, it can be hard to know who to trust. I needed a detailed site plan for my building permit, and Tim at Grusenmeyer-Scott was fantastic. The job was more involved than a standard boundary survey, but he kept me fully informed and responded quickly to my questions. I’d definitely recommend him.” report abuse

  “I was extremely disappointed with Gruesenmeyer-Scott’s service. We initially commissioned a property survey from them back in 1998, and then needed an updated survey in 2020 when we added a fence. However, the process was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. Getting a timely response was nearly impossible; it took multiple emails and phone calls to finally speak with someone helpful. While Donna was ultimately able to assist, the overall communication was reactive rather than proactive. Once we agreed on a price and a surveyor was scheduled, he was delayed repeatedly, and the office environment itself seemed disorganized and lacking basic customer service – including a lack of mask-wearing and limited payment options. When I requested a crucial detail be added to the survey, they argued with me and insisted on additional charges, refusing to investigate a simple solution based on county records. It felt like we were constantly having to advocate for ourselves. Overall, Gruesenmeyer-Scott was unresponsive, disorganized, and frankly, unpleasant to deal with.” report abuse

  “I was really disappointed with my experience. When I went in to get a boundary survey estimate, the team seemed quite surprised to find someone requesting their services – it was clear they weren’t expecting inquiries. The office itself was also quite messy and had a bad odor. To add to that, I never received a return call after scheduling the appointment.” report abuse
