I had a really frustrating experience getting my boat repaired here. I brought it in around the end of June 2021 for some pre-summer prep work, and it ended up taking nearly a full month just to get the motor replaced. They put other charter boats ahead of mine for weeks, and once my boat was finally in the shop, they discovered it needed a new motor – which then took a month to ship. Honestly, it felt like they were prioritizing charter boats over private customers, and they kept pushing me back in the queue even after the new motor arrived. It’s incredibly disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone for boat repairs. I’m seriously considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to understand what’s going on.

“I had a really disappointing experience with this shop, especially after the ownership changed. I originally went there based on a recommendation from the previous owner, and he was fantastic. However, once they took my boat, things went completely downhill. It was rear-ended on the trailer, and when I finally got it back after 14 months, it was nowhere near what I expected. They hadn't installed the transom fish box I was promised, and the transom had no reinforcement – it was shockingly weak. Plus, the new offshore bracket was installed improperly, hanging way too low. Honestly, I wouldn’t trust them with my boat at all. My friend, who’s a boat repair guy, actually avoids them because he says they consistently provide poor work. I would strongly advise against using this shop.”

Honestly, my experience with this shop was incredibly frustrating. I brought my boat in because it was running terribly, and they called a couple of weeks later saying it was ready. However, after paying $430 for them to test it and replace an exhaust clamp, the problem persisted. They then suggested I replace the entire exhaust system for $150 – which, of course, didn’t fix anything. It turned out to be a cracked muffler, which a friend helped me get fixed. When I went back to discuss the ongoing issue, they offered only a $60 refund. I wouldn’t recommend taking your boat to this shop; it was a complete waste of time and money.

“I absolutely loved my experience with Frontier Fab! They recently installed a new motor in my boat, and everything went incredibly smoothly. They had exactly what I needed in stock, provided a clear price estimate and timeline, and – most importantly – they completely exceeded my expectations. Mel, Seth, and the whole team were fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend Frontier Fab!”

“I can’t recommend this boat shop enough! The owners are fantastic – really personable, incredibly reliable, and they actually get involved in the work. It’s great to deal with a team that cares.”
-
“I really wouldn’t recommend using this shop. Their pricing practices were completely unclear – they provided an estimate with no written confirmation and then significantly increased the bill without any discussion. It felt like they were just trying to quickly get the job done and take our money, which left me feeling completely uncomfortable and misled.”
-
“I took my boat in for some repairs, and was initially told it would take a week or two. Unfortunately, it ended up taking almost a month, and when I picked it up, the work wasn’t fully completed as I’d originally discussed.”
-
“I’ve taken my boat to Frontier Marine twice now, and unfortunately, the same issue persisted. To make matters worse, the owner was quite rude. I’d strongly recommend going elsewhere – I had much better luck getting my boat repaired at Pegasus Marine.”
-
“I’ve always had a really positive experience with Mel and Red Door Charters. I recently purchased a boat through them and also got my permit, and the whole process was handled smoothly and professionally.”
-
“I’ve been consistently impressed with the customer service here – they’re always incredibly helpful when I’ve had any problems with my boat.”
