  “I was so pleased with Gary and his team – they really came through for me! I needed some tig welding and repairs done on my boat quickly for hunting season, and they were able to fit me in.   “I needed some ribs welded on a river boat, and the first shop I contacted gave me a quote of $4-500, but they said it would take them several weeks due to a busy project. I then went to Greatland, and they assessed the work – six ribs and one hole – for $1000 and estimated it would take about three weeks. Strangely, their yard was completely clear. Later, I asked about a simple 3x3 bracket, and they quoted me twice the price I could have bought one for, which seemed a little excessive considering their apparent skill level.” report abuse

  Overall, my experience with this company was pretty frustrating. I initially requested a quote for a project around $30,000, based on a quote from another business. After repeatedly following up for three weeks without a response, I had to find another provider. Then, when I needed a snow plow, it took even more persistence – and several reminders – to get it ordered and installed. While the installation itself was okay, the plow arrived without the necessary shoes, and I’m still waiting over a week for a response to my request for them. Honestly, they seem capable when they actually respond, but their communication is really lacking. I wouldn’t recommend them if you need things done quickly and reliably. report abuse

  “I was really impressed with this place! The staff were fantastic and the quality of their work was outstanding. I needed some spindles machined to a specific size for an airplane ski dolly, and they turned it around incredibly quickly – they had them ready the next morning. They fit perfectly, like they were made to order. Seriously excellent service and super accommodating, I’ll definitely be using their services again and would recommend them without hesitation.” report abuse

  “I was really pleased with the work the float pods did on my 1652 G3 – they did a fantastic job! They were a pleasure to work with and kept me really well informed throughout the process. Just a slight delay of about a week from the initial timeline, which was completely understandable given how busy they were.   “Overall, working with Gary and John was a really positive experience. They’re incredibly friendly and clearly knowledgeable about their field – they went above and beyond to find answers for us. The quality of the fabrication work was outstanding; the whole team is a group of top-notch welders and fabricators. My only minor gripe was the coffee pot – it was a pretty cold M.T. one!   “We were so relieved to find Greatland Welding – we had a major issue with our RV’s bumper while driving up from Florida, and they were absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly friendly and professional. Marik, the aluminum welder, did an amazing job, really showcasing his talent, and got us back on the road quickly. Gary, the owner, went above and beyond to help us, fitting us in even though they were clearly busy. As travelers passing through, we really appreciated their honesty and care – we could have easily been taken advantage of, but they treated us with genuine respect. The guy at the counter was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions – you could tell he really knew what he was talking about.
