We were looking at a few different hot tub companies, but ultimately chose Matley because they’re a family-run business and don’t operate on commission – they truly want to ensure you get the perfect fit. The whole experience was incredibly helpful; they delivered the tub, came back to set it up and showed me everything I needed to know. I really appreciate their responsiveness too; they’ve even answered my questions, even on the weekends! It’s clear they genuinely care about their customers, and that kind of service is invaluable.   I’m incredibly disappointed with Matley Pools’ service this year. For the past couple of years, they’d been reliable for opening and closing our pool, but this year has been a complete disaster. The young people they sent to open the pool had absolutely no experience – they couldn’t even turn on the filter! We had to call and have someone else come out to fix it. Then, when we needed help with the heater, the technician didn’t even bother to talk to us while he was there, just rang the bell and left. They then charged us a $70 diagnostic fee, which felt completely unreasonable considering we already knew what was wrong. When I explained the situation, the woman on the phone was incredibly dismissive and simply threatened to send the bill to a collection agency – they wouldn’t even show us what the technician had done! All we wanted was for someone to explain the issue to us. Honestly, it felt like they were completely unwilling to help. I won't be using Matley Pools again. I’m giving them one star because things were fine for the first couple of years, but this year’s service was unacceptable. report abuse

  “We’ve been incredibly happy with Matley’s services since we bought our house back in 2012. Our pool is an older gunite model, and they’ve always handled any issues with a fantastic, enthusiastic approach – Jon and Rachel are particularly amazing and so knowledgeable, and Ed is just a real workhorse! It’s wonderful to have a local, family-run business we can truly rely on for everything from maintenance to getting new equipment like our pool heater. Honestly, it’s the personal touch – knowing them by name – that really makes it a top-notch experience.” report abuse

  Matley’s team was absolutely fantastic! We recently purchased a house with a beautiful in-ground pool that hadn’t been used in ages.   Overall, we had a really positive experience with Matley’s. Susan was fantastic – she made ordering our 24-foot round pool with all the custom features a complete breeze and answered every single one of our questions. The only downside was the extended lead time due to the Covid shutdowns, which was completely out of Matley’s control. We chose the saltwater system and absolutely love how low-maintenance it is! However, we’ve had a persistent issue with honey bees visiting the pool, which has been a little inconvenient – my wife was stung once and we’ve had to be extra careful around our young daughter. The staff at the store are incredibly helpful and always willing to test our water and give us the exact amounts to add. I highly recommend Matley’s – they’re a great team! report abuse
