“I initially made a deposit with Porter Heckman for a generator – I wasn’t aware they were merging at the time. Now that the company’s been acquired, they’ve informed me they won’t honor the deposit I made. It’s only $50, but it feels incredibly unprofessional. I have a significant amount of plumbing and heating work lined up, including replacing a furnace and installing the generator (roughly $7-8,000 worth of work), and I won’t be bringing any future business to this new company. Their decision really highlights a lack of consideration for their customers.”
