  This company is a serious letdown. Frankly, it feels like they’re deliberately taking advantage of customers. I’d advise anyone considering them to do extensive research first. They exist largely because of a lack of competition, but that doesn’t excuse their incredibly poor service. The installation crew itself is competent – a solid B+ – but the entire experience is marred by unacceptable delays and inflated pricing. They consistently wait weeks, sometimes months, for even a basic estimate, often capitalizing on peak season demand. I was quoted a price 35-40% higher than other local companies, and the waiting times were a ridiculous 1-4 months. They’ll string you along, saying the owner will get back to you, only to offer a final price that’s shockingly out of line with the market – easily $5,000 over what others are charging. It’s a frustrating “take it or leave it” approach. It’s clear they’re prioritizing profit over customer satisfaction. Don't be surprised if you hear nothing for three months and then get a price that's 5000 over market. I’d strongly recommend exploring other options – companies from neighboring states often offer better prices and a much more responsive service.   Coastal Heating & AC were fantastic! We’d been struggling with our HVAC system for ages and had wasted a significant amount of money hiring other experts, but Alex was a lifesaver. He responded to my voicemail within 30 minutes, arrived on time with plenty of notice, and really listened to explain the problem. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue within 40 minutes, and even gave us some helpful advice on preventative maintenance. Since he took care of it, our heating has been perfect – we couldn’t be happier! We’ll definitely be using Coastal Heating & AC again in the future. report abuse

  “I contacted National Grid who recommended a furnace gas valve repair through an HVAC specialist. Unfortunately, the woman I spoke with was incredibly unhelpful. She immediately seemed skeptical when I explained we had a gas furnace – she seemed to misunderstand my initial hesitation. When I described the problem, she responded with a frustrating question about how to fix it.
