    Overall, this company has a really promising product – I was particularly impressed with the quality of the shed they built and the great 30-year warranty. It seemed like a fantastic value, especially considering it was priced similarly to what I’d find at Home Depot and included professional delivery. However, I’ve been really disappointed with their customer service. I’ve tried to get in touch twice over the last six months, and each time the person I needed to speak with wasn’t available. I left my number hoping for a call, but haven’t heard anything. It’s frustrating when you can’t get a response, and it makes me question their level of interest in selling their sheds. I’m not sure if I’ll return – I need to find a business that prioritizes customer communication a bit more.” report abuse

I scheduled a showing for Monday at 4pm after we’d agreed, and I went out of my way – arriving an hour early – only to be told at the last minute that they couldn't accommodate us and the sellers weren’t prepared. It felt like they hadn't listened to my initial request, and their response of ‘sorry for the confusion’ didn’t really address the problem. Plus, they weren't very helpful in providing information about the property, and even tried to steer me towards a different purchase than what I was looking for. If you’re working with Greenfield Homes, I’d definitely make sure to emphasize that you’ve scheduled a SHOWING when you contact them.” report abuse

    I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience renting through Greenfield Homes. My partner and I signed a lease on October 1st, and everything started smoothly until we received a notice from the city stating our unit hadn’t been inspected – a completely unexpected issue. Instead of working with us to resolve this, we were met with an incredibly unprofessional and alarming phone call from Carole Thingvold, who immediately started making baseless accusations about my partner’s past, claiming he had six evictions and even criminal charges – information that was completely false. It felt like they were deliberately trying to intimidate us after realizing a standard background check wouldn’t cover this situation. After that, they began harassing us, parking outside our home, and insisting on unannounced visits without any warning. We ultimately moved out on October 31st, and I’ve been fighting tooth and nail to get my security deposit back – with absolutely no success. I want to be clear: the Thingvold family seems to be running the show, and I would strongly advise anyone considering renting with Greenfield Homes to look elsewhere.     I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience buying this home. It’s a brand new property, and within the first month, we’ve faced a series of serious issues. We found broken door handles, doors that wouldn't close correctly, and a malfunctioning toilet pump. The most alarming issue was a gas leak – we smelled gas immediately after moving in, and when we contacted the seller, they dismissed it as not their responsibility. Ultimately, Excel Energy confirmed the leak, forcing us to shut off the gas and heat. It’s completely unacceptable, especially with young children in the house, and has turned what should have been a joyous occasion into a stressful and uncomfortable ordeal.     I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience here. Honestly, this place needs to close its doors. My grandparents bought a brand new home here in 2014, and it’s been nothing but a nightmare ever since. From the get-go, they faced a constant stream of issues – warped floors, broken windows, faulty faucets, and cracks in the walls. While some problems are unavoidable with new construction, what truly infuriated them was the complete lack of follow-through. They repeatedly couldn't get calls returned or promised repairs actually completed, especially considering they were senior citizens dealing with significant health challenges after a lifetime of hard work. It’s absolutely unacceptable how they treated them, taking their money but ignoring their needs. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place and explore other options. report abuse
