  I’m incredibly concerned about the work being done on our street for the Frederick County contract. It’s been a really frightening experience witnessing the lack of safety precautions. Workers seem completely distracted, not properly directing traffic, and I honestly felt like my mother was about to be involved in a serious accident – she was only seconds away from a head-on collision. Then, the following day, one of their trucks pulled out in front of me despite multiple employees supposedly managing the traffic. The whole situation felt incredibly unsafe and unprofessional, and I worry about the well-being of residents and visitors in our neighborhood. report abuse

  I had a really frightening experience yesterday. While I was trying to leave a gas station, a truck driver almost sideswiped my car. He was deliberately blocking my path, inching forward while waving his arm at me, which felt incredibly aggressive and unsafe. It was completely unprofessional. I immediately contacted the safety department to report it, but the person I spoke with initially told me I had the wrong department and then gave me the extension, but when I tried to call back, I couldn’t get through to anyone. report abuse

  “We’re extremely concerned about the situation at the Rt. 257 project in Newburg. Communication between your team and the flag personnel is completely lacking – we nearly had a head-on collision with oncoming traffic due to the confusion. Furthermore, your operators seem to be disregarding the flaggers, and the ongoing issue of loose gravel is preventing school buses from leaving on time. We’ve received numerous complaints to Commissioner Ken Robinson about this, and frankly, it’s a serious safety and logistical problem. Someone needs to take immediate control and address these issues before a tragedy occurs.” report abuse
