  “We just finished a really big remodel – 4,000 square feet, involving taking down walls and completely relocating the kitchen – and honestly, the best decision we made was hiring Reverence. They weren’t just fantastic structural engineers; they handled the entire process brilliantly. They provided design support, worked closely with our contractor, and even guided us through the often-confusing process of getting the necessary permits from the county. From the very beginning, Summer was amazing. Her communication was outstanding, always prompt and insightful, which was a huge relief during what can be a stressful time. They kept us fully informed, anticipating our questions before we even asked them. The remodel itself was particularly complex, especially coordinating with all the different county departments and installing the steel supports. Reverence expertly navigated some tricky situations. It was clear they had a complete understanding of every detail, which really paid off when our initial plans were returned with just minor changes requested by the county. But here's where they truly shone. We decided to accelerate our project timeline by 90 days due to rising costs and labor shortages. Because Reverence nailed the first submission, we were able to move up our schedule and save a significant amount of money on materials and equipment.   “We were thrilled with the work Brett and the Reverence team did for us. We’d been planning a fairly involved renovation – opening up our kitchen and expanding it a bit, and also splitting our second master bedroom into two separate rooms. What really drew us to Reverence was Brett’s knowledge, responsiveness, and the fact that they offered both engineering and drafting services. Honestly, it turned out to be a more complicated project than we initially thought, and Brett was fantastic at guiding us through the challenges. He took the time to really understand our vision and carefully considered the design, costs, and potential structural issues. He’s a great communicator, explaining things clearly, both verbally and with visuals, and he even took the time to educate me about the technical details – which I really appreciated! Brett helped us find a great GC and develop a solid plan, and we successfully navigated some tricky structural problems through a lot of collaborative meetings. The permitting process was incredibly smooth, thanks to Brett’s quick handling of everything. During construction, we did have a few adjustments needed because of what we uncovered when the walls were opened up, but Brett worked closely with our framer to make sure we stayed on track and passed inspection without a hitch. We absolutely love our new space, and that’s largely due to Brett’s thoughtful design and engineering expertise. He was incredibly flexible when we made changes along the way, and his team, especially Summer, were fantastic at keeping us informed and making the whole process so easy. Brett then arranged for Kevin to do a thorough inspection, and he was incredibly professional, even working with the original architectural drawings and photos we had.
