  “Overall, our experience with RA Solar was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, felt like a scam. While the installers were polite during the initial installation, getting them to actually address the problems with our system was a nightmare. It took multiple unanswered calls and texts to finally get someone to come out and look at the malfunctioning panels. We were unfairly targeted after posting a negative review – they seemed to only respond when pressured. Adding to the issue, they sent a snarky email after we’d moved and asked to be removed from their mailing list. It just felt like they weren’t prioritizing customer service or communication. They insisted on sending the contract to my husband, despite me being the primary contact, and repeated the same mistake from the initial installation. It felt like they were blaming us for their own lack of organization and attention to detail. Honestly, their customer service was shockingly poor, and it’s clear they wouldn’t have survived if they hadn’t been bailed out by negative reviews.   “I’ve been a happy customer since my solar panels were installed two years ago. However, I recently had a minor service request in October, and I haven’t heard back from anyone despite several attempts to follow up. It was frustrating not to get a response from Varney, and I kept trying to reach him. Then, after a few months, Varney finally contacted me and explained there had been some changes within the company. He assured me he’s now handling things quickly, and I truly believe he’s dedicated to resolving this. Because of his efforts, I’m now giving the company my highest rating.” report abuse

I was particularly impressed with their professionalism; the electrical inspector was a bit difficult, but they handled the situation smoothly and calmly. Everyone who came to our property was incredibly trustworthy and didn’t try to pressure us into anything, which I really appreciated. Honestly, it was a completely different experience than we had with some other companies who quoted exorbitant prices and were quite pushy.   Honestly, we’re thrilled with our new solar panels – it’s been a fantastic experience working with Ra Solar. We went ahead with the project this year to take advantage of the 30% tax credit, and from start to finish, they’ve been amazing. Ra really handles everything, from designing the system and getting the panels, to navigating all the city permits and getting approval from PG&E. It’s a complete “turnkey” solution, and we were really impressed with both the price and the quality. We found them through EnergySage, which was incredibly helpful. It not only gave us a good understanding of our energy needs but also allowed us to compare bids from several companies. We ended up getting around five bids through EnergySage, and five direct from Ra, and they were, without a doubt, the best. What really stood out was their commitment to quality – they offered a fantastic 25-year full warranty, covering both the panels and the inverter. We also had a slightly unusual electrical setup, and another company added an extra $2,000 to their quote to account for it, but Ra came up with a brilliant solution at no additional cost! The whole process, from the initial quote to having the system fully activated, took just two months – and that included all the necessary permits and inspections. It’s a really good time to be going solar, and if you're considering it, we highly recommend Ra Solar – you won’t be disappointed. report abuse

  Overall, RA Solar offered the most competitive pricing on the panels I chose. The process was reasonably quick, although we did encounter a couple of initial issues and later had a lien placed on the property, which thankfully got resolved with Varney’s help and the lease is now complete. I’d recommend considering RA Solar, but it’s really important to carefully review the contract and ensure there aren't any outstanding dues included. It’s been a challenging time, and I appreciate Varney’s support in getting things sorted out. report abuse

  Overall, we were extremely pleased with the work. They stuck to their timeline perfectly and delivered exactly what they promised. The crew was incredibly efficient and professional – they left the site spotless, and you wouldn’t have known they’d been there.
