  Mike did an absolutely fantastic job inspecting our foundation and the cracks in our living room. He really took the time to explain everything so clearly and in detail, and it was great to hear his observations align with what another home inspector had already found. He was incredibly knowledgeable about our specific foundation system and even gave us a good overview of the house’s overall construction. We had a lot of questions, and he answered them all thoroughly. Honestly, after meeting with him, we felt so much better about the structural integrity of our 115-year-old foundation.   Mike Abell did a fantastic job evaluating my home for seismic upgrades. I really appreciated how focused he is on structural work, especially seismic concerns.   Mike Abell is, without a doubt, the best structural engineer I’ve worked with since buying our first home. Our 1939 house was on a pretty steep hill, and we quickly realized the original foundation and framing were showing their age. Honestly, I knew nothing about structural engineering, and the first three contractors we spoke with were trying to sell us on expensive things like soil studies – it wasn’t until meeting Mike that we truly understood the extent of the work needed. He spent a lot of time carefully assessing our house, taking detailed measurements, and creating really solid, safe, and affordable plans. Plus, he has a great network of local contractors he works with, which made the whole process so smooth.
