  Overall, we’ve been incredibly pleased with May Construction’s work on our home in San Jose. They tackled two major projects for us and even stepped in to handle some unexpected repairs, including a significant water damage issue with our vaulted living room ceiling. What really stood out was their professionalism throughout the entire process, from the initial planning stages to the final inspections. They clearly take a meticulous approach, carefully vetting each subcontractor to ensure consistently high quality. They went above and beyond to address any issues that arose, always working until we were completely satisfied.   Overall, we had an outstanding experience with May Construction. From start to finish, they were incredibly professional and meticulous. We hired them in 2014 for a complete gut and remodel of our home in Los Altos, and they handled everything flawlessly. They provided a very detailed, week-by-week timeline and, impressively, often had 3-4 trades working simultaneously to keep the project moving efficiently. What really stood out was their transparency – Greg gave us a comprehensive, itemized cost breakdown from the very beginning, so we knew exactly what to expect and there were no hidden fees. Liz, the designer, was fantastic; she was patient and always ensured we were completely happy with every design choice. Bill, our project manager, was exceptional at communicating updates and was always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect, even if it meant reworking something. We particularly appreciated how quickly they addressed any concerns we had. And surprisingly, our neighbors were impressed with how quietly and cleanly they worked.   “I absolutely couldn’t be happier with the work May Construction did on my home in Cambrian Park. I bought the house in 2013, and it was a real fixer-upper – built in 1957 and completely untouched since. Knowing I was the second owner, I jumped right in to renovate, and I’m so glad I chose May Construction. They were fantastic from start to finish. They tackled the renovation perfectly, focusing on updating the bedrooms and bathroom, while completely redesigning the main living spaces, kitchen, and master suite. Their designer was incredibly knowledgeable and created a truly amazing and functional design. What really stood out was their reliability – they started and finished the project on time and, importantly, within budget. It’s clear they’re experienced professionals who take pride in their work.   We were absolutely thrilled with the transformation of our 1960s ranch in Saratoga! We completely remodeled the space, opening it up with a brand new kitchen, living, and dining area – it’s now a beautiful, open-concept home. We even updated our existing fireplace and added a fantastic air conditioning system. Greg May and his team really brought our vision to life, and the whole house feels completely like new. From the start, Greg was fantastic. He had some great ideas, but he never pushed us to do anything we weren’t comfortable with. He was incredibly mindful of our budget and always suggested ways to save money and be more efficient. It was so reassuring knowing he was keeping a close eye on costs, and we finished the project well within our original scope – something many of our friends warned us about! The project stayed on schedule, too, despite a particularly rainy winter. Eric, our project manager, was incredibly proactive, making sure we made timely decisions about everything from tile to paint colors. The entire May Construction team was exceptional. Everyone was so hardworking and respectful, and we truly appreciated their attention to detail. They were always willing to answer our questions and address any concerns, and our designer, Catherine, offered some brilliant suggestions. Honestly, it’s rare to find a contractor you can truly trust and even consider a friend – that’s exactly what we experienced with May Construction.   “I’ve had a fantastic experience working with May Construction – I’ve utilized their services on four separate projects over the years, and they consistently delivered exceptional results, culminating in a complete house remodel. From start to finish, the project management was outstanding, with every member of the team – from billing to vendor coordination and site supervision – working together seamlessly.   Overall, we were extremely pleased with May Construction’s work on our home. They stepped in to address the ongoing maintenance issues with our plywood siding and completely covered it in stucco. From the initial estimate to the finished project, they were fantastic. They were incredibly responsive, kept us constantly informed about the progress, and the crews were both friendly and professional.
