“I’m so impressed with Salma! She’s been teaching my daughter since she was just a baby, and she’s really made a fantastic difference. Salma is an amazing instructor – she’s brilliant at explaining things to a young child and she’s always so positive and encouraging, which has really helped my daughter build her confidence in the water.”

“Overall, it’s a really solid place to learn how to swim. I liked that they offered coaches with different backgrounds, which gave me the option to find one that matched my learning style. Honestly, the feedback I’ve heard about the cancellation policy seems to stem from people not fully understanding the rules they agreed to when they signed up.”

Okay, here’s a natural-sounding evaluation based on that text: “This program is really focused on fun time in the pool – it’s like a lot of splashing and informal instruction. However, if your main goal is learning to swim, this isn’t the place for you. The biggest issue seems to be the frequent and sudden changes to the schedule, with classes happening regardless of the weather. Also, be aware that you’ll be moving between different pools and they’ve had some ongoing facility problems.”

“The sessions themselves were well-structured, with 25 minutes of focused instruction followed by 5 minutes of play. In groups of three, each student got around eight minutes of individual coaching – which, unfortunately, wasn’t quite enough to see significant progress over a few weeks. That said, the coaches were really lovely and easy to talk to.”

“I’ve been coming here since I was six, and I’m so proud to say I’m now a really confident swimmer thanks to this place. I wholeheartedly recommend it – the pool is consistently heated and the coaches are fantastic, offering really valuable advice on technique. While Supernovas focuses a bit more on drills and longer laps, it’s still a great program, and I’ve learned a huge amount.”

“I wholeheartedly recommend Coach Victory at the Santa Clara Swim Club. He’s truly made a difference for my daughters – one is still training with him – and I’ve seen them both really thrive. What sets him apart is his genuine dedication; he remembers each swimmer’s name and consistently works with them to improve their technique. He’s incredibly supportive at swim meets, always encouraging the kids, and I’m confident he’ll help my daughter continue to succeed.”

“Coach Victory is an absolutely fantastic coach – really dedicated and passionate about helping kids succeed in competitive swimming. Both of my children trained with him over a few years, and they always had incredibly positive experiences. He’s incredibly supportive at meets, cheering on the swimmers and pushing them to improve, and he’s just as involved at practice, constantly working with each swimmer to help them get better. It’s clear that all the coaches at SCSC are committed and professional, and Coach Victory embodies that perfectly.”

“My children have been swimming at Santa Clara Swim Center for a long time – over five years – and they’ve all absolutely loved working with Coach Victory. He’s become a real favorite of theirs; he’s fantastic at keeping them motivated and engaged with his games and sense of humor, especially during the holidays. Beyond that, Coach Victory clearly knows his stuff and is incredibly supportive, really helping them achieve their goals. I recently joined the masters program myself and can attest to that firsthand – I’m really looking forward to working with him to improve my times!”
-
“Coach Victory is fantastic – he’s clearly one of the most skilled and dedicated coaches at the Santa Clara Swim Club. He has a real knack for spotting areas where swimmers can improve and he’s incredibly patient in explaining the right technique. It’s great to see him really getting to know all the kids, and my child absolutely loves having him as their coach.”

Overall, our experience at the dual meet with SCSC wasn’t a great one. It was clear the team was having a fun time, but their behavior was a little disruptive and, frankly, disrespectful. There were a few instances where their swimmers were booing during our team’s cheers, which felt a bit rowdy. We also had a concerning incident where a SCSC swimmer deliberately knocked my daughter’s parka off the railing and onto the wet ground. And towards the end of the meet, some of the host team members were behaving inappropriately in the warm-down area. It felt like a bit of a free-for-all, and unfortunately, it left us with a negative impression.
