  Overall, we were extremely pleased with American Hardwood. They were fantastic to work with, really responsive to our needs, and involved us throughout the whole floor renovation process. I especially want to highlight Kevin – he was fantastic! He listened to all our feedback and worked closely with us to ensure we got exactly the look we wanted.   “I’ve used American Hardwood Floors twice now, and they’ve become my preferred contractor for hardwood flooring in the Boston area. They recently did a fantastic job installing 4.5-inch red oak floors in my two bedrooms, hallway, and staircase – even including new stair balusters. They also expertly refinished some existing red oak, completely transforming them. The quality of their work is outstanding, and the prices are very reasonable. James, my main contact, has been a pleasure to work with. He’s incredibly responsive, always returns calls promptly, and was able to get me a quote quickly after our initial meeting. The whole process, from getting the quote to ordering the materials and completing the job, took just about two weeks – which was great. I’ll absolutely be using American Hardwood Floors again for all my future hardwood flooring needs.” report abuse

  Honestly, I had a really frustrating experience with this company. I booked an appointment that was two hours late, and I never heard from them. I had to go track them down myself, and while they were polite when they quoted the price, things went downhill quickly. The job itself was okay – the floor looks decent, but there are so many other flooring businesses out there. After they completed the work, the owner became incredibly aggressive and unprofessional. He got very defensive when I suggested he improve communication with his clients, and his attitude was completely unacceptable. It’s because of his behavior that I couldn't recommend him to anyone, and I definitely wouldn’t have chosen him for my living and dining room. I’d strongly advise others to do their research and find a company that communicates better and respects their customers. report abuse

  Thai and his team were fantastic! I hired them to do some work on my floors, and they were incredibly responsive – they came out the same day, offered a really fair price, and got right to work.   “I was absolutely blown away by Ty and his team! We had a really frustrating experience with our old floors – they’d been sanded and stained poorly, and it took us two long weeks to get them right. Ty came out and, surprisingly, was able to diagnose the issue just from seeing the pictures we sent. They completely transformed the floors in one day – sanding, staining, and applying the final polyurethane! We just had to wait one day for everything to dry, and then Ty came back for the final sanding. It was an amazing job, and honestly, such a fantastic value for the price. They were super efficient and didn't waste any time. Be aware that Ty is really busy, so patience is needed, but it was absolutely worth it – I’d definitely recommend them and will be calling them back for any future projects!” report abuse
