“I’ve been a Safeguard Security customer since 1993, and I’ve always been incredibly happy with their service. I utilized their monitoring for three different homes in Arizona over the years, and I consistently received excellent protection. However, things changed when I bought my most recent home from a builder in…”

“As a long-time safeguard customer, we’ve had a bit of a frustrating experience recently. We switched over after moving into our new home in July 2018, installing both an alarm system and a Skybell doorbell. Unfortunately, we’ve encountered a consistent number of issues with the doorbell itself and with getting adequate support from Safeguard.”
-
“As a Safeguard Security customer since 2004, I really appreciated their customer service back then. It felt like a personal touch, which I put down to the fact they were locally owned and operated – they were always fantastic. However, things have definitely changed since the company was acquired by AAA, and I’ve noticed a significant drop in the level of service I’ve received.”

“We’ve been using Safeguard for about four years now, and generally it’s been reliable. However, recently we had a bit of a strange experience. A house guest triggered the alarm, and we immediately contacted Safeguard to let them know we didn’t require a response – we didn’t need the police to come out. But they said they hadn’t received any notification from us. It was a really odd situation…”
-
“Overall, the installation team did a really good job getting my surround sound system set up in the entertainment center – they were very efficient. However, I was a little disappointed that they didn’t program the alarm system as I’d requested.”
-
Honestly, the leak detection system has been a huge problem from the start. It’s consistently malfunctioning, with dozens of false alarms. We were also really let down by the lack of clear information about what the system actually covers, and the customer service we’ve received has been shockingly bad.
-
“I’m currently trying to sell my house, and it’s been really frustrating because it has Safeguard equipment installed. I’ve contacted them multiple times to let them know we’re moving and to understand the process for canceling our contract, but I haven’t received any response at all.”
-
“I was really disappointed with my experience. The installation at my second home went terribly wrong – one of the pieces fell off and unfortunately triggered a false alarm, resulting in a $50 fee. It was completely unacceptable, and frankly, a serious mistake on their part.”
-
“Honestly, I’d give Safeguard a zero if I could. We live in a condo complex serviced by them, and we’ve repeatedly had problems with the electrical panels and closets. The worst part is the constant alarm – it goes off every couple of seconds, and we have to keep silencing it.”
-
“Since we completely renovated our house, including taking everything back to the studs and installing a new smart home system, we’ve been experiencing some frustrating problems. We’ve noticed sensors repeatedly going off in the early hours – around 3 and 4am – and we’ve confirmed there’s no sign of anyone trying to break in. Last week, the panic alarm even triggered unexpectedly.”
