  I was really disappointed with my experience working with Connecticut Basement Systems. From the beginning, in February, they seemed great – the team was friendly and helpful, coming to my home to measure and discuss the project. They even assured me an engineer would be involved to assess the need for underpinning, which was a key concern. However, the engineer never showed up, and despite numerous follow-ups and promises of a detailed quote, I’m still waiting for one months later. It's frustrating because while the people I spoke with were nice, the company just didn't seem to deliver on its commitments. It feels like I’ve been strung along, and I would have appreciated a straightforward explanation if they couldn't move forward with the project. Overall, it’s been a really frustrating and time-wasting experience. report abuse

  CT Basement Systems did an absolutely fantastic job finishing our new basement! From start to finish, we were so impressed. Bruce was a great project manager, and the whole team – Eric, Michael, Mike, and Todd – were incredibly professional and a genuine pleasure to have around. Eric was particularly meticulous, and he really paid attention to every detail to ensure everything was done to perfection.   Don was a really helpful and professional guy. He was on time for our meeting, clearly explained how the SaniDry Sedona systems work and the installation process, and he was incredibly knowledgeable about the product.   I was really disappointed with my recent service call. CT Basement Systems installed my sump pump and basement waterproofing system a few years ago, and the initial installation was excellent. However, during the service appointment, the technician seemed to be operating independently, suggesting completely new work – moving the discharge pipe for $400 and extending my downspouts for another $450. It felt like he was trying to upsell me on a whole new project, and I was shocked by the unexpected costs. To add to the confusion, he mentioned he works for CT Basement Systems during the week but then operates as a solo contractor on Saturdays and gave me his personal cell number. I contacted CT Basement Systems to get clarification, but I’m still waiting to hear back from a manager – it’s been nearly ten days now. report abuse
