“I’ve been a customer for nearly 30 years, and for a long time, I was incredibly happy with the service – especially thanks to Roger. He was always fantastic. However, things have really declined since his son, Jay, took over. He’s just not providing the same level of quality, and honestly, I’d strongly advise against dealing with him.”

I was incredibly frustrated with my experience. On November 19, 2021, at 1 PM, one of their employees damaged my car while carelessly opening his door, causing significant damage in the parking lot near Rockville, MD. There were plenty of empty spaces available, which made the situation even more concerning. The employee didn’t even bother to leave any information after assessing the damage. Adding to the problem, when I contacted the office manager to report the incident, he didn’t seem particularly concerned or apologetic. Thankfully, I was able to file a police report and my car has 24/7 security footage capturing the entire event. Due to this careless behavior and the lack of responsibility, I strongly advise against using this company for any work. It’s a major inconvenience and a waste of time and money.

Richard reported a very concerning incident he experienced while driving in Rockville/Gaithersburg on June 10, 2014, around 7:00 PM. He was being tailgated by a Hansen Pool Services van while traveling at 50 mph in a 40 mph zone. The driver then became increasingly aggressive, swerving dangerously, making gestures, and ultimately threatening Richard with violence at the next red light. Richard attempted to de-escalate the situation, but the driver continued to shout insults at him and his wife. Most disturbingly, the driver appeared ready to physically confront Richard in a busy roadway. Richard believes this individual’s behavior was completely unprofessional and reflects poorly on Roger Hansen Pool Services. He strongly suggests an internal investigation to determine if this driver represents the company’s standards.

“I was really disappointed with their response. I called to get a quote for some pool renovations, and they immediately said they couldn’t do it because of the distance. They didn’t even seem to consider that we’re only 12 miles away on Georgia Ave – it’s the same county! It seems like they weren’t willing to travel that short a distance for a significant job.”

Overall, the service has really declined since Roger left. Several clients have also expressed dissatisfaction, suggesting a significant drop in quality.
