    “We’ve had a mixed experience with Dolphin. They completed our pool installation back in November 2020, and while it was generally okay, there were some significant issues. They insisted on receiving the full payment balance even after the work was finished, which felt a little demanding. We also discovered that the fill dirt they installed around the pool needed replacing before we could put in our patio – this wasn’t what we’d been told when we bought it. Adding to the frustration, the solar cover we purchased wasn’t delivered during the initial install, and we waited months to receive it, finally arriving at the end of June. We were promised a follow-up visit to show us how to operate the equipment, but that never happened. Despite the leak we found when we opened the pool ourselves, their customer service was lacking, and they didn’t follow through on their commitments.” report abuse

    Overall, our experience with Dolphin Pools was incredibly frustrating. They installed our pool back in November 2019, and shortly after, we discovered a major problem with the liner – a large section wasn’t properly fitted and was constantly bubbling. We tried repeatedly to get Ed, the owner, to address the issue throughout the summer, but he never responded to our calls or texts. It wasn’t until a potential new customer mentioned our concerns to him that he finally took notice. Even then, his solution was to simply leave the problem for a spring fix, without actually scheduling anything. We’ve been chasing him for weeks to get a replacement liner ordered, but we haven't received a single response. Frankly, after being in business for so long, we expected a much higher level of professionalism and honesty. We deserve a properly completed job, and we were disappointed by the lack of communication and follow-through. report abuse

    Overall, Dolphin Pools did a great job getting the pool installed quickly, which was fantastic. However, we’ve had a really frustrating experience since then. Despite the timely installation, we’ve been struggling to get them to address some underlying concrete issues with the pool – it’s been over six months and we haven’t been able to reach anyone beyond their answering service, with our calls consistently going unanswered. It seems like getting a response is entirely up to them, and we’re disappointed with the lack of communication and support after the initial installation. Frankly, the customer service has been lacking, and we’re really hoping they can resolve this quickly. report abuse

    I was incredibly disappointed with my experience with Dolphin. They installed my pool in Stoneham, and while the installation itself was okay, the aftermath was a complete disaster. They took *all* the excavated dirt, rocks, and gravel – including thousands of boulders ranging from baseball to beachball size – and just spread it all over my 10,000 square foot lot, directly on my lawn and even in my driveway. It’s been over a year and a half, and I’m still struggling to remove these boulders. To add to the frustration, I’ve been unable to get any response from them after contacting them repeatedly.     I was incredibly frustrated with my experience trying to get Dolphin Pools to close my pool before the holiday season. The seller had recommended them, and other pool services were insisting I drain my pool – which my manufacturer explicitly warned against. I contacted Dolphin Pools in early October 2015, but it took until the week of Thanksgiving to get them to schedule the closing. The receptionist was remarkably rude and dismissive, just taking my information and promising to pass it along, but never actually following up. The people who actually did the work didn’t seem to have a way to contact me directly, so if I missed their call (which happened because I work until 3 PM), there was absolutely no recourse. They’d call from a private line and wouldn't leave a message, and they wouldn't even attempt to reach out again. I spent a week repeatedly asking for updates, and the receptionist just said she could only give them my contact information—it was entirely up to them. It’s completely unacceptable, and I ended up back in the same frustrating phone tag situation as last year. report abuse

    “I hired this company to build a pool, and unfortunately, it’s been a complete nightmare. We’ve had constant problems with the salt cell, and they’ve been completely unresponsive – they haven’t returned any of our calls. It’s been over two years, and the pool still doesn’t work properly.
