“We were really pleased with the work American Asphalt & Concrete did on our cul-de-sac. They arrived promptly at 7am, were incredibly efficient, and the job looked fantastic by noon. Nicole and Greg were fantastic – professional, communicative, and the quality of their work was outstanding. We’d definitely recommend them and will be sure to call them again for our next project.”

Honestly, I’d strongly advise against using this company. The quality of their work was really disappointing – I ended up with cracks all over my driveway, roots pushing through, and several patches that started unraveling just weeks after they were completed. Plus, the asphalt thickness was significantly less than what was outlined in our contract, and the sealant they used seemed too watery. The only thing they did well was the striping, which was done by a subcontractor. I’ve included some pictures showing the issues, so if you’d like to see the work for yourself, please feel free – it’s located at 1426 3rd, Chula Vista 91911.

Fausto was truly exceptional – a real standout performer who consistently delivered amazing results.

“I was really disappointed with how the workers handled the new asphalt being laid at Rancho Hilside. They were using blowers at full blast, sending asphalt dust and crumbs everywhere, and unfortunately, some of it ended up directly on my car. I had a chunk of asphalt embedded in my front grill and the whole thing was covered in powder. While I understand they needed to use blowers, it seemed completely unnecessary and reckless to be aiming them at the vehicles. Thankfully, they adjusted to using lower settings and directing the blowers away from the cars when I returned, but it felt like a completely avoidable situation.”

Bob and his son did a fantastic job on Ms. Valenti’s driveway in Rancho Santa Fe – she was absolutely thrilled with the results! She wanted to express her sincere satisfaction and highly recommends their company.
-
“We had a situation just now with Truck 117 in Escondido – they were dealing with a significant amount of debris and dust, and it seemed like a simple task was being overlooked due to a lack of urgency.”
-
“Unfortunately, the concrete delivery was delayed due to some logistical issues on site. Workers weren’t fully prepared when the concrete arrived, and the reinforcing steel wasn’t in place, which meant the driver and pump operator had to add extra water to the mix to prevent it from hardening too quickly. This ultimately compromised the concrete’s long-term strength.”
-
“Honestly, it’s great to see such positive feedback – it’s common to hear some mixed reviews, but our crew really knocked it out of the park with our commercial facility lot. They were incredibly fast, efficient, and genuinely professional – no nonsense at all.”
-
“Overall, we were really pleased with the work – the prices were fantastic, the quality was excellent, and the customer service was outstanding. They did a particularly impressive job paving the road into our community.”
-
Overall, this service really stood out – the customer service was fantastic and I’d definitely recommend it to others.
