“I absolutely love going there to get my steel Rick. Rick and his crew are fantastic – really friendly and always willing to help.”

I had a really disappointing experience at this place. I went in to get a quote on carports and the salesperson completely brushed me off after I asked about availability. He just handed me a DVD and immediately started helping other customers. I waited a long time, and eventually another customer cut in front of me. When I asked if the DVD would provide pricing information, he responded with a dismissive “Oh noooooo,” essentially telling me to wait until he finished with everyone else. It felt incredibly unprofessional and, frankly, like I was being discriminated against. I was actually excited to potentially purchase a carport after a friend recommended this place, and I drove quite a distance to get here.

“I can’t recommend this team enough! They handled a pretty unusual request with such kindness and a real willingness to help – truly outstanding service.”

“Overall, we had a really great experience! The sales guy was fantastic – he really understood what we were trying to achieve with our outdoor kitchen and helped us pick out the perfect sheet metal. And on top of that, the team in the yard were incredibly helpful and friendly when we went to collect it.”

“I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with PL Steel. The service was unprofessional from the start – after paying my invoice with Visa, they insisted on Zalle payment and refused to accept my credit card. This caused a significant delay, and after finally paying through Zalle, I haven’t heard back from the salesperson. Now I’m struggling to get a refund and feel completely ignored. I wouldn’t recommend doing business with them.”

Honestly, the installation was surprisingly fast, but the customer service was quite disappointing. I definitely had to double-check the awning afterward, as most of them seem to leak, and the company was terrible at following through with promised repairs and appointments – they kept rescheduling. It seemed like they were only making a small profit on the job. They didn't even properly install the awning, leaving significant gaps, and we ended up needing to add a much larger flange. We managed to fix everything for less than $100, which is just frustrating considering the $5000 project. You really need to be vigilant and ensure everything is done correctly while they’re working, or you’ll likely end up having to fix it yourself.

I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service I’ve received. I’ve repeatedly tried to get through to someone by phone to discuss pricing, but they haven’t returned my calls at all. I’ve been a customer in the past and this level of unresponsiveness is unacceptable. It feels like a constant need to chase them down for information, and I wouldn’t recommend this company to others.

“I just want to give a huge shout-out to Rick at LP Steel. He was fantastic – really helped us keep the project on track and we ended up getting extra panels for the corrals and round pen, which was a fantastic bonus!”
-
“I tried to place an order for some steel, but it was incredibly frustrating. I called several times and left multiple voicemails, but no one ever answered the phone. It seems like they’re not very responsive to new business at the moment.”
-
“I’ve consistently been really pleased with this company – they’ve always been incredibly helpful and offered some great prices for our gate and fencing supplies.”
