  Overall, we’re really happy with our solar panels – thanks to Russ from Avid Solar. We initially had Next Step Living install them, but unfortunately they went out of business and left us in a difficult situation. After a lot of searching, we were so lucky to find Russ, who really stepped up and got our system working as efficiently as possible. He’s been incredibly helpful, spending a lot of time troubleshooting and understanding our system. He’s honest, really efficient, and his pricing was fantastic. Now he’s even monitoring our system and recently helped us resolve a technical issue – we absolutely recommend him! report abuse

  “I’m writing this review with a serious warning. We’re New England Solar Agency, and while we genuinely try to help people find the best solar solutions, we had a very difficult experience working with Russ Aney and his company, Avid Solar. We initially believed Russ to be knowledgeable and trustworthy when we met him back in 2016, but unfortunately, it was a short-lived impression. After the initial contract signings, he became incredibly difficult to reach and completely stopped following through on his commitments. We moved on from working with him years ago and have since installed over 200 solar systems in Massachusetts, but recently two of our former customers have reached out to us because they’re struggling with issues stemming from working with him. He’s essentially been ‘ghosting’ them, and they needed our help. We no longer have any active relationship with Avid Solar due to a court judgment we had to obtain to hold him accountable. I’ve been in business for over 40 years and have a good sense of who to trust, and I quickly realized Russ wasn’t being upfront. I truly regret referring customers his way. There are plenty of excellent, honest solar companies out there – please, avoid Avid Solar and Russ Aney.” report abuse
