  Overall, we were really pleased with the work Maggio did replacing our flat roof and handling a few other repairs. They were great at keeping us informed, especially when the scope of the job needed to expand beyond the initial estimate, and they responded quickly to all our questions and concerns. While they weren’t the cheapest option, we felt the added reassurance and their responsiveness made it a worthwhile investment. report abuse

  I am incredibly disappointed with Maggio’s service. To be frank, they were the worst contractor I’ve ever dealt with. We hired them to fix a leaking roof in DC, and the entire experience was a nightmare. It took weeks to get a quote, and then they informed us the entire roof needed replacing. After the work was done, it turned out the problem was completely unrelated, and we were left with a brand new roof we didn't need – costing us an extra $20,000! Adding to the frustration, they repeatedly missed appointments and were incredibly difficult to reach. After nearly a year of dealing with this, and wasting tens of thousands of dollars, I’m finally done. Trying to even get a payment processed with them has been another huge headache. I wouldn’t recommend Maggio for any roofing job – not even a dog house. report abuse

From start to finish, they handled everything incredibly well – they thoroughly inspected the roof, explained the entire process clearly, and completed the installation with a real attention to detail.   “I can’t recommend Antonio Moscoso and Steve Zisserman from Maggio Roofing highly enough. We’ve used them twice before and are now working on a third project, and it’s been an absolutely fantastic experience. Steve does a great job with the initial assessments and estimates, and Antonio really shines – he meticulously analyzes the work needed and figures out the best approach. Everything is explained so clearly, and Antonio is actually on-site, closely overseeing the crew. He’s fantastic with customers, making you feel completely confident and supported throughout the entire process. He’s always offering insightful advice and suggestions, and they're incredibly tidy and respectful.   Overall, we were really pleased with Maggio’s work replacing the drip edge at our condo. They quickly identified some significant rotting wood and structural problems, which they handled with professionalism and a really skilled crew – Edgar, Antonio, Gabriel and the team were fantastic to work with. They were incredibly responsive to our requests, always on time, and kept the job site spotless. They even proactively followed up on a few outstanding items and offered helpful suggestions for future planning.   Maggio’s did an absolutely fantastic job replacing our roof after the windstorm damaged it. From the very beginning, they were incredibly responsive and professional, and they got the job done really efficiently. What really stood out was their attention to detail – they even came back to fix the flashing on the front of the house to perfectly match the cornice, which was a small oversight on our part. I especially want to commend Gabriel Zabala, the carpenter, for his amazing work recreating the damaged corbel. If you live in a historic neighborhood like Capitol Hill and need roof or cornice repairs, I highly recommend giving Maggio’s a call – you won’t be disappointed! report abuse

  “I have to say, Maggio Roofing did an absolutely fantastic job on our recent project! We had them replace all the shingles and install copper gutters in our Woodley Park home – starting in late September and wrapping up in under two weeks, even with some really bad weather. From the initial consultation with Steve Piccirelli, who provided really thorough drawings and a detailed breakdown of the work, to Antonio Moscoso overseeing the entire process and Walter Marroquin managing the team on-site, everything was incredibly well-organized. Walter’s team – Joel, Luis, Nino, Gabriel, and Elmer – were incredibly efficient and professional, and they left our house spotless every day. Access Solutions did a great job setting up the scaffolding as well. We’ve used Maggio Roofing twice now – they did a beautiful job replacing our old kitchen roof about nine years ago.   Maggio did a great job replacing our skylight and repairing our hatch about a year ago, and we were so pleased with their service recently. We noticed a small leak starting around the hatch after some rain, and they responded incredibly quickly – someone was out within a day to schedule an appointment. Even with the pandemic restrictions, Steve was professional and careful, coming to the roof with gloves and a mask within a week to fix the problem.   I absolutely have to rave about Maggio Roofing! I started with them replacing my flat roof over the summer, and I’m still thrilled with the work – and I’ve now had them install a brand new slate roof on my turret, too. Wilder was the foreman again, and he was fantastic, patiently answering all my questions and making sure I understood every step of the process. Initially, they did a really thorough job replacing my flat roof, and when they discovered some old, rotted joists during the demo, they were upfront about the added cost and time it would take. They went above and beyond to repair everything properly, even creating a beautiful, custom floral pattern in the slate work – which is amazing! Honestly, I was a bit overwhelmed with a new roof type, and the team at Maggio was incredibly helpful and accommodating. They took the time to explain everything, answered all my questions, and consistently impressed me with their quality of work. I felt like they genuinely cared about getting the job done right, and I have complete confidence in their expertise.
