I’m incredibly frustrated with the service I received. From start to finish, this experience has been riddled with errors and a complete lack of accountability. Initially, the team completely mismanaged the wiring for my lights, leaving me with no power to my room and requiring me to pay for the subsequent repair. Then, they damaged the outside camera wiring and, instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, suggested replacing all my cameras – a suggestion I agreed to, only to be told they wouldn’t cover the cost. Adding to the problem, they didn’t even properly ground the electrical circuit, now I’m stuck needing to hire a completely different company to fix it! Honestly, the crew seemed completely unprepared and unprofessional. While Karry in the office was initially pleasant, her attitude shifted dramatically once I raised concerns about the issues and her response – refusing any compensation – was unacceptable. I was really hoping for a smooth and positive experience, but this has been a major letdown.

I’d strongly advise against using Advantage Electric. My experience was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, felt completely disregarded. I had storm damage on Thursday, August 3rd, and was promised a technician would come back to fix the electrical issues and reconnect my power – anytime day or night. However, the service manager, Kerri Scheller, kept delaying the work, insisting an inspection was needed first, even though one wasn’t required for storm damage. It ended up taking until Saturday for them to even attempt the work, and I was charged double overtime because of the delays. I was out of town at the time, constantly battling spotty cell service to keep pushing for a simple fix. It was completely unacceptable that Kerri didn't seem to prioritize getting my power restored, especially considering the inconvenience it caused – I had family arriving for my daughter’s wedding! After the inspector finally came out on Tuesday and approved the work, it was clear the entire situation could have been resolved much sooner. I’ve contacted the manager, Doug Rexroat, about this, but haven’t received a response. Overall, I felt like I was taken advantage of, and I wouldn’t recommend Advantage Electric – they clearly don’t value their customers.

Here’s a natural-sounding evaluation based on the provided text: “I initially gave Advantage Electric a very poor rating after a series of frustrating experiences over the past eight years. There were serious issues with oversight, including leaving exposed wires, poorly planned trenching, and a general lack of care on multiple projects, including a $30,000 electrical installation. Management, specifically a manager named Shannon, seemed to deflect responsibility and avoid ensuring quality control. However, things have improved significantly in the last two years. After a recent hire, I’ve been able to utilize their services again for smaller jobs, and I’ve been impressed with the quality of their work. Individuals like Jesse have added a huge amount of value, particularly on the residential side. Doug, Kris, and Jesse deserve credit for getting rid of the problematic management and establishing better systems. I’ve upgraded my rating from one to four stars – they’ve clearly turned things around. While there were past problems, they're now delivering a consistently strong service, thanks to the efforts of key team members.”

“I was incredibly disappointed with this company’s pricing. We requested bids for a new sprinkler system wiring project, and received bids ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. Instead, they submitted a bid of $31,000 – a completely unreasonable and frankly, exploitative price. Given the range of other bids, this was far too high, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend doing business with them again.”
-
“I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Advantage Electric for stepping in on such short notice! They quickly resolved the electrical problem and got us back to feeling comfortable – I’d absolutely recommend them without hesitation!”
-
“I was really impressed with Advantage – they responded incredibly quickly when my smoke detector started beeping, and they sent someone out to replace it within an hour. Fantastic service!”
-
Bill was fantastic – incredibly knowledgeable and really helpful as we were starting our new home projects. We truly appreciate his assistance!
-
“I just wanted to say the service I received was fantastic! I called to schedule a service and was immediately connected to a live person who patiently walked me through resetting my GFI. It saved me a lot of time and money – I really appreciate their help!”
-
Honestly, this company is fantastic. They really know their stuff when it comes to electric work – you can tell they do it right. If you need something done properly, I highly recommend giving them a call.
-
Overall, it was a really positive experience – the team was fantastic and did a great job.
