  “Honestly, this has been an incredibly frustrating experience. We ended up closing on a severely incomplete home, and it’s clear they have no intention of finishing the work. We’ve used this builder before and this second time has been a complete nightmare – they’re incredibly unprofessional. They took our money quickly but then just disappeared when it came to actually completing the job. We had multiple leaks and had to replace our flooring, but they wouldn’t even investigate the source of the problem, ultimately just cutting us off. They didn’t address any of the serious issues we discussed before closing, and despite constant promises, they haven’t returned to complete any of the work. We’re still waiting on doors, and frankly, I don’t expect to see them. The quality of the work is shockingly poor, and we’re now facing the reality that we’ll likely be spending a significant amount of time and money renovating the house, or we’ll have to sell it.” report abuse

They were incredibly disorganized and difficult to communicate with – I haven’t been able to get anyone to address the warranty issues on our home. It’s also concerning that I’ve heard reports of them not paying their suppliers, which is leading to some homeowners facing significant problems like having to pay twice or dealing with other negative consequences.” report abuse

  “We’re incredibly frustrated and disappointed with the ongoing issues we’ve experienced over the past two years. The house is still incomplete, and we’re now missing items we paid extra for that we haven’t received. Communication has been shockingly poor – despite our efforts to stay in touch, we’re constantly dealing with calls and no follow-through. Recently, they’ve even locked us out of their app, claiming we have no jobs associated with our address, which is completely baffling given our consistent communication.   “I can’t recommend Ruhl Construction. Honestly, don’t even consider going with them, no matter how tempting the price might seem. We went through an incredibly stressful experience, and it wasn't worth a single penny. They pressured us to close on the house before everything was truly done, promising to fix all the outstanding issues within 60 days. But once we signed on the dotted line, they vanished. No calls returned, no messages answered – absolutely nothing. We ended up with 25 significant problems, including unfinished landscaping in half our yard and a noticeable imperfection in our guest bathroom. I know other people who’ve used their services and they’ve all had similar, frustrating experiences.” report abuse

  “Despite a really beautiful house, my experience with Ruhl was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. After investing a significant amount of money and dealing with a lot of misinformation, I’m ultimately happy with the home itself. However, Ruhl’s handling of the project has left me with no trust in them as a builder. We now have a lien on our property because they haven’t paid the veteran-owned electrician they contracted, despite being told twice that the payment had been made. It’s shocking that they’re still operating, and I believe everyone involved is aware of the serious issues. We really wish we’d heeded the warnings we received – it’s a valuable lesson learned.” report abuse

  “I’m incredibly disappointed with this experience. I’ve been working with them for over a year now, and despite numerous requests, many of the projects on my punch list remain unfinished. Communication has been extremely difficult – it’s been nearly impossible to get a response or reliable updates.   “I can’t recommend this company. Our experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. We purchased a new home with several necessary repairs outlined in the contract, and it’s now been over 14 months since closing with still many of those repairs outstanding. We’ve been repeatedly given conflicting information, and the quality of the work we’ve received has been shockingly poor – frankly, the worst I’ve ever encountered. It’s been nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone who can actually resolve the issues, and the whole process has been a terrible, stressful ordeal. Seriously, if you’re considering building a home, I urge you to explore other options – you’ll likely save yourself a huge amount of heartache and money.” report abuse

  Overall, we’ve been pleased with the design work, but there’s still a significant amount left to complete after six months. We wish we’d waited until everything was finished before moving in – it’s definitely something to consider when starting a project with them. Currently, the front of our house isn't fully finished, and we were a little surprised that wasn’t addressed first. We’ll reassess our rating once the remaining work is complete, and we really need to see more consistent follow-through on their part.” report abuse
