  “I wanted to share my experience with Builders Choice Lumber. Being located downwind of their Wasilla facility in a particularly windy area, we had a significant amount of styrofoam and wrapping material blown onto my property during the winter. When spring arrived, it looked like a construction site! Despite multiple requests, they sent a two-person crew who spent a solid seven hours cleaning it all up – they were really professional and did a fantastic job. It was great to finally be able to look out my window without feeling embarrassed, and honestly, it took a huge weight off my mind.   “I’ve been incredibly impressed with this company – they’ve truly gone above and beyond for me. Austin in sales has been fantastic, always quick to provide quotes and, crucially, ensure speedy and accurate delivery. But it’s not just Austin; Philip in truss design deserves a huge shout-out. He was so patient and took the time to understand my needs, especially as I’m relatively new to carpentry. He really listened and made sure the design was absolutely perfect. And then there’s the delivery team – Jerry and Al, along with all the other drivers – they’re consistently reliable and incredibly helpful. They really went the extra mile to get things delivered quickly, which was a massive help as I was building my first home.   “I really want to start by saying the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, which is fantastic. However, the whole experience with ordering my decking has been a huge letdown. I placed my order back in July and, after speaking with the team at the store, they ordered the materials. Unfortunately, there was a mistake and we ended up needing an extra 40% of the boards, which we paid for on August 11th. We heard nothing, and despite multiple calls in September, nobody responded. It wasn’t until October 12th that I finally spoke to someone who told me it was supposed to be on a sailing, but it never arrived. They kept pushing back the delivery dates, blaming supply issues with Covid, and ultimately didn’t follow up on my order. It’s completely unacceptable that I’m still waiting for my boards, especially with winter coming on. I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed – it's a shame because the people I dealt with were genuinely nice, but the lack of communication and follow-through is just unacceptable.” report abuse
