  I really appreciate Builders Choice Lumber stepping in to help after this past winter. Being located downwind of their facility in Wasilla, we experienced some serious wind damage, and when spring arrived, our property was covered in a huge amount of styrofoam. It was quite a mess! They were fantastic to work with, following up with me multiple times to get it resolved. A two-person crew spent a full seven hours cleaning it all up, and they did a really thorough job. It was a huge relief to finally be able to look out my window without feeling embarrassed and to be honest, it took a lot of stress off my mind.   Honestly, I’ve never worked with a company quite like this one. From start to finish, the experience has been fantastic. Austin in sales has been absolutely incredible – he’s always so responsive and quick to get me the quotes I need. But what really stands out is the speed and accuracy of the deliveries. And then there’s Philip in truss design. He was so patient and thorough, especially considering I’m relatively new to carpentry. He really took the time to understand my needs and create a beautiful design, and he explained everything clearly. Jerry and Al, along with the rest of the delivery team, were just amazing. They went above and beyond to get my trusses to me quickly, especially when I was able to get some extra help. It’s given me a huge amount of confidence as a first-time builder, and it’s truly making my family’s dream home a reality – a really enjoyable process thanks to everyone’s support. report abuse

  I really wanted to give this company a good review – the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which was a great start. However, the whole experience has been incredibly frustrating. I placed an order for decking in July, and despite confirming everything with the store staff, there was a significant mistake that meant I had to order an extra 40% of the boards. I paid for that on August 11th and haven’t heard a single word since. I kept trying to get updates, but nobody responded. Finally, I spoke to someone in October, only to be told the order hadn't shipped and was supposed to be on a sailing schedule – which, of course, never happened. They then blamed it on supply chain issues due to Covid, and the supplier apparently didn't even check on my order. It’s unbelievable that I’m still waiting for my boards, especially with winter coming on! Honestly, the staff are lovely, but the complete lack of communication and follow-through is unacceptable. report abuse
