  Overall, my experience purchasing a front door at MacLeod & Moynihan was really disappointing. It felt like a very slow and frustrating process. Because a front door is such a significant investment, we took our time researching and carefully considering all the options – materials, style, and price. However, the salesperson specializing in doors didn’t offer any initial price estimates, which made it difficult to get a sense of what to expect. We ended up relying heavily on the online tool, and realized we could easily spend upwards of $30,000 on a custom wood door! The whole thing felt unnecessarily complicated. When we were finally ready to place our order, we emailed everything as instructed, but received no response for days. After following up, we were told the salesperson was simply overwhelmed with other customers. Thankfully, we were able to get our order completed smoothly through JBSash & Door, where we’d had positive experiences before. Their service was much more responsive and efficient, and the entire process was a completely different experience. Honestly, MacLeod & Moynihan’s customer service needs a serious overhaul – there are definitely other local businesses offering a much better level of service. report abuse

  Honestly, I'm completely frustrated with this experience. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, spending over $20,000 on a full house renovation from this place, and things have really gone downhill. While the selection is decent and the prices are competitive, the service is shockingly poor. I started with a good person who wasn’t particularly helpful, but then he disappeared, and the current staff seems only focused on getting orders out the door. When I questioned a high quote and asked for suggestions to lower the cost, I got incredibly dismissive and snarky responses. After emailing twice to get a door ordered, I'm now being completely ignored. The worst part is the completely over-the-top reaction from one specific person, Christine. She essentially threatened to call the police if I showed up to discuss it with management – it’s unbelievably narcissistic and completely unwarranted given her initial behavior. As a long-standing customer, I deserve better than this. report abuse

  I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with this company. We were building a new house and ordered over 17 Trustile doors – each costing around $1500 – ten weeks ago. We specifically told Christine Raymond, the salesperson, that we needed these doors quickly because we were moving out of our rental before our lease was up. She assured us they’d arrive in less than three weeks, saying they were a fast brand. Unfortunately, nine weeks have passed and we still haven’t received our doors. Because of this delay, our entire house build is now stalled. Worse, Christine Raymond has completely stopped responding to our emails and phone calls. She’s been incredibly unprofessional and rude, showing no concern for our situation or any effort to resolve the issue. It’s a truly horrible experience, and I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to avoid them. report abuse

However, it turned out they could only offer windows made by JELD-WEN, and the level of customization was unfortunately quite limited.
