  “I can’t recommend Troy and his company. This was, without a doubt, the worst contractor experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve worked with several contractors over the years. I hired him hoping to find a local option, but it quickly became a nightmare. Essentially, he uses a lot of subcontractors and wasn’t involved in overseeing the work himself. This resulted in a constant stream of re-dos and poor quality fixes. There were times when he even made things worse, like using grout in a bathroom splash area instead of silicone. Because of this, I was being overcharged and felt completely ripped off. It wasn’t just the room itself that was affected – there was damage throughout my home because he wasn't present, and I was left to manage the chaos with a revolving door of other contractors and even strangers accessing my property. I spent four months constantly trying to prove damage wasn’t new, which felt incredibly frustrating and like I was being dismissed. Honestly, I suspect his good reviews are influenced by others. I’d urge anyone considering hiring him to proceed with extreme caution.” report abuse

  “Overall, this contractor was upfront and reliable in terms of sales and delivering on the materials we discussed. However, the foundation work was a major issue. After just one winter, the footings were significantly off – roughly 60% correct, and the problem was essentially dismissed with a suggestion to cover deterioration with mulch. Considering the $70,000 spent, this was completely unacceptable. It seems there were some fundamental misunderstandings about the project’s requirements, specifically regarding the pad dimensions, which weren’t clearly defined.
