  Overall, I’d definitely give them a solid 4.5 out of 5. They were really professional and the price was competitive with other companies we looked at.   I was incredibly impressed with Advanced Basement Solutions’ work on our waterproofing project. From the initial scheduling to Chris’s thorough assessment of our primary residence’s weeping wall behind the washer and dryer – where the house was built without a foundation drain – to the fantastic crew who completed the job, everything was top-notch. We’d used them last year for French drains in both our house and rental, and the quality was excellent.   “I reached out to them after a really frustrating experience with another company, and they were incredibly helpful. They sent an inspector out to assess the situation in my basement and clearly outlined what I should be looking for regarding the work quality. The inspector was very knowledgeable, and surprisingly, the previous owner’s warranty on the vapor barrier and wall anchors was handled seamlessly through them – they took care of everything under warranty while still providing excellent customer service.” report abuse

The installation was incredibly efficient – they were in and out in just four hours with very little dust, and the system has performed flawlessly for over a year and a half, consistently draining water during heavy rain.   “I hired Advance Basement Solutions in April 2019 to install an internal French drain, and from the very beginning, things went horribly wrong. They started the work on April 8th, but almost immediately, they routed the outtake pipe directly into my downspout – a problem they’d already quoted me on fixing, but declined to address due to cost. The sump pump was also placed in a different location than agreed upon with the sales person. Things escalated quickly. On April 10th, I discovered they’d completely destroyed the downspout elbow, leaving a huge hole that they’d filled with dirt and rocks. By April 11th, I was thrilled to see my basement was dry, only to find my plumbing was leaking at the stack and laundry tub. The leak quickly worsened, and I had to call in a plumber who discovered they’d crushed my sewage line during the installation. Advance Basement Solutions, represented by Chris, were incredibly unhelpful and dismissive, citing a clause in their contract to avoid liability. The foreman’s negligence resulted in three weeks of sewage backing up into my basement, damaging my floors, belongings, and walls. After a huge fight, they finally admitted fault, and the owner, Bill Hoey, wanted to fix it himself—a plumber! His employee, digging sewage-soaked gravel with bare hands was completely unacceptable. His wife, Tara, minimized the damage, suggesting they spray mold treatment on the swollen walls. It was clear they were trying to avoid responsibility. They eventually passed the buck to my insurance company, and a 3rd party adjuster confirmed the poor workmanship and shallow installation. My insurance company agreed the damage was category 3 sewage damage, estimating at least $13,000 in repairs, while Advance Basement Solutions offered a paltry $3,000. The damage was so extensive, it went through the foundation of my house, requiring excavation of my front yard and possibly my front porch! Multiple independent waterproofing professionals and plumbers confirmed that the job was done poorly and the pipe was too shallow. It was clear the foreman had stopped showing up to work after just two days. Advance Basement Solutions claims to value honesty, integrity, and customer focus, but they demonstrated none of these qualities. I’ve been living in a nightmare since moving into my home just a year ago, and they’ve effectively ruined my house. ” report abuse

  “Overall, the work was fantastic – they completed everything thoroughly and efficiently. I ended up staying a little later than originally planned due to the extent of the foundation work, but it was worth it. They stuck to the original quote and were really professional and friendly, always happy to answer my questions.
