“I’ve been really happy with the furnace repair work Sage Mechanical did for me in Seward. They’re clearly skilled and efficient. However, it’s been tough getting timely service – they’re often too busy to respond quickly to emergencies. I unfortunately had a really bad experience with a different company I used, spending over $4,000 and it actually made things worse. Thankfully, Sage Mechanical stepped in from Anchorage and they completely turned things around; my furnace is working better than ever now. I’m so grateful!”

We were incredibly disappointed with the work Sage performed during the purchase of our new home. We’d used them in the past through family recommendations and initially felt confident in their abilities. They were contracted to restore the baseboard piping and supply lines, install exhaust venting, and review the in-floor heating system, which the previous homeowner had installed very poorly. Unfortunately, things quickly went wrong. After three weeks without an update, we couldn’t get any communication from Sage, and it turned out the owner, Jon, was the one handling the job. Two weeks later, they finally told us the work was complete and sent an invoice, but we still haven’t received it. The quality of the work itself was a serious concern. We found exposed hot copper piping, the supply lines were pushing against the baseboards, and one line was wrapped around a wall stud. It was clear the work wasn’t done to code and, frankly, it looked incredibly rushed. Adding to the frustration, Sage refused to provide any documentation or an invoice, despite our repeated requests and the bank’s requirement for proof of a licensed contractor. They even used a fabricated excuse about the bookkeeper’s father’s passing to avoid issuing the invoice. Worse, no permit was ever pulled for the work, and we discovered Jon didn’t even have a valid license. It’s truly shocking that a contractor would intentionally withhold an invoice, especially given our concerns about the substandard workmanship. The whole experience was incredibly stressful and ultimately held up the sale of the property.

“I’m so pleased with the work Sage Mechanical, LLC has done for me. I’ve used several plumbing contractors over the years, and unfortunately, I’ve had some really bad experiences. But with Sage Mechanical, LLC, I’ve found a reliable partner – they’ve been working with TXL Construction Services for a lifetime, which speaks volumes about their quality and commitment.”

“I’ve consistently been really pleased with Sage Mechanical. They’ve always delivered a great job, were incredibly prompt, and provided high-quality service. While they’re not the most budget-friendly option, it’s absolutely worth paying a little extra to ensure the job is done correctly the first time – I’d much rather avoid needing a second call.”
-
“I was really disappointed with my appointment today. Despite telling the staff I work nights, they arrived two hours early without any notice. The technician was incredibly rude and refused to reschedule, showing a complete lack of professionalism. I expect a service provider to respect scheduled appointments and adhere to communicated limitations.”
-
“I had a really positive experience with Sage Mechanical. They were incredibly responsive when my boiler and hot water heater went down, quickly diagnosed the problem, and got it fixed up really efficiently. I’d definitely recommend them.”
-
Jon from Sage was fantastic – I was really impressed and relieved when he showed up and quickly fixed the issue. He was incredibly thorough and even left the area tidier than he found it. I’d definitely recommend him!

“I’m so incredibly grateful for this company’s service – I really should have reached out sooner! They’ve consistently gone above and beyond, especially when my husband’s out hunting and we’ve had heating issues. They’ve been incredibly prompt and reliable. Currently, they’re doing the plumbing and HVAC for our new addition, and I wholeheartedly recommend them – fantastic work!”
-
“I can’t express how incredibly disappointed I was with this company. The gas insert installation was completely botched, and frankly, the owner’s reaction was appalling. Instead of addressing the issue or issuing a corrected bill, he threatened to put a lien on our house. It took seven months to even receive the original bill, which was being sent to the wrong email address. When I finally contacted them, the job was shockingly poor and, unbelievably, it appeared during our home inspection – a situation the owner immediately tried to deflect by calling the inspector incompetent and accusing me of lying. I wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone, and I’m absolutely furious about the money I wasted.”
-
Sage Mechanical did a fantastic job for me – they were really prompt and professional, and they kept me updated throughout the whole process, especially when we discovered the issue with my boiler. It wasn't their fault, of course, but their communication was excellent. I’ll definitely be using their services again and would recommend them wholeheartedly!
