  “Brent was absolutely fantastic to work with! We hired him during a major remodel after buying our new house, and he really took the time to understand our vision. He walked the house with us, patiently listened to every idea, and was incredibly knowledgeable about what was achievable. Honestly, he brought our dream house to life with a design that exceeded our expectations – he even added some brilliant creative touches! Communication was always easy, he responded quickly, and he kept us perfectly on budget.   “Overall, I wouldn’t recommend working with Brent. He started the sales visit really well, but things quickly went downhill. It felt like he wasn’t truly listening to our needs and instead focused heavily on what would benefit his own company. There were also serious issues with communication – he repeatedly missed deadlines, ignored our agreements (both written and verbal, particularly regarding billing), and never explained why. He was incredibly defensive, refusing to acknowledge any problems and blaming me for misunderstandings, even though the evidence clearly showed otherwise. Ultimately, he didn't take any responsibility or offer a solution, which made for a really unpleasant experience.” report abuse

  Brent initially seemed like a good choice for designing my garage addition back in 2022, promising plans by the summer for around $3500. Unfortunately, things quickly went wrong. It took nearly seven months to get even preliminary plans, and the structural engineer he recommended, Steven, quoted a significantly higher price – $4800. Suddenly, my budget was ballooning, and I was looking at over $8000. The process was incredibly frustrating. After submitting the plans and structural calculations, the city raised a huge list of comments, and Steven was constantly having to respond to them, only for the city to bring back even more issues. It turned out the original reviewer had left, and nobody else would work on the plans because they were stuck with the complicated situation. Steven disappeared entirely, and Brent couldn't handle the calculations anymore. By 2023, I was still without plans, and the whole project ended up costing me around $10,000 – and the permit was ultimately canceled. I’d strongly advise anyone considering a similar project to explore other options; it was a complete nightmare. report abuse
