  Honestly, my experience at AIH was fantastic, and it was all thanks to one incredible employee – a saleswoman who’s been there for over ten years. She was seriously amazing, so knowledgeable and engaging that I ended up signing up for all their rewards programs within minutes. I really felt like she was genuinely invested in helping me, and I give her a huge thumbs up! AIH itself is okay, but this woman – “ten-year blue-shirt blondebob” – is the real star. They’ve got a serious gem on their team, and I’m hoping they keep her! report abuse

  Overall, this is a really efficient and well-run shop. It’s great if you just need a few things – it’s quick and easy to get in and out. The layout is really well-organized and everything was spotless, and the staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. report abuse

  Honestly, my experience with this company was incredibly frustrating. It took me weeks to order a simple table saw, which shouldn’t have taken more than a few minutes. Their prices were shockingly high, and I found the same items available for hundreds of dollars less with free shipping elsewhere. I ended up buying the saw from AIH only because Grizzly was completely backordered, and I needed it quickly. To add to the problem, I spent almost $4,000 without realizing they had a loyalty rewards program, and they then refused to apply those points to my account. I’m a supporter of local businesses, but this was definitely one of the worst experiences I’ve had in Alaska – I won’t be doing business with them again. report abuse

  Overall, my experience with AIH was pretty disappointing. It felt like there was a real disconnect – some of the staff seemed to know a lot, while others were completely clueless. I placed a large order for several thousand dollars’ worth of equipment during the Black Friday sale, but they refused to honor the discount, which is why I ultimately took my business to Hardware Specialties. They’re a family-owned business too, and I’ll continue to support them unless AIH starts prioritizing customer satisfaction. And frankly, the promised teamster discount was barely noticeable, which was a letdown.” report abuse

  Overall, this place is a really pleasant experience. The staff are consistently friendly and willing to help, and they have a great selection of tools, hardware, and safety equipment. It’s a good place to browse and get what you need, just don’t expect to be in a rush! report abuse
