  “I was really impressed with the service I received when I came in to get a replacement door. They were still working through a new system at the time, which caused a little initial confusion, but the team really stepped up and helped each other figure it out. Despite that, I was only in there for about 20 minutes – much faster than I’d been told it would take elsewhere, which was estimating 3 weeks! Everyone was friendly and helpful, and I really appreciated their quick turnaround time.” report abuse

  “Overall, my experience with this company has been mixed. I’ve used them on several projects, including a large condo development, and they’ve generally been reliable with the products themselves and their delivery service is good. However, I recently had a frustrating experience with a fire egress window handle in a home they’d just installed – it broke within a month of the occupants moving in. Despite this serious issue, it’s taken seven months of repeated emails and calls to get a repair underway, and the parts are currently four weeks out. Frankly, it feels like this problem has been consistently sidelined and hasn’t received the attention it deserves.” report abuse

  Carol and Kevin Kelly had a fantastic experience working with Mike Gorman at Builders Millwork. They found him to be incredibly polite, patient, and genuinely helpful, and appreciated his thoughtful, non-pushy approach – he really took the time to listen to their needs and offered some excellent suggestions.   “I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Jeff – he was fantastic! I had a real issue with my new entry door – it was ordered with the wrong swing and there was a problem with the glass installation. Jeff handled everything so smoothly and professionally, and even went above and beyond by including the threshold extension I needed.   “Overall, we had a really positive experience working with BMS. Rick did a fantastic job keeping everything on track and making sure all the details for our window replacement were covered. While we did encounter a couple of minor issues after the installation, BMS was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to fix everything to our complete satisfaction.   “The final work itself was excellent, however, I was really frustrated with the installation process. I experienced significant issues with communication and coordination – I was repeatedly given the wrong number, leading to incorrect information about my order delivery. Worse, they installed the wrong window when I wasn't present, and it wasn't until I contacted them directly that the error was discovered. While they eventually corrected the mistakes on two separate occasions, the overall customer service, professionalism, and follow-up were really lacking.” report abuse

  Overall, I really appreciated the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Builder’s. They were great to work with. However, I was disappointed with the Kemper cabinets I ordered for my kitchen – they weren't quite up to the quality I expected for the price, feeling more similar to what you’d find at Lowe’s or Depot. Worse, many arrived damaged, including a nearly destroyed lazy Susan. I’d recommend Builder’s for other building materials, though. report abuse
