  I can’t recommend this company. My experience in Annapolis was absolutely terrible – honestly, the worst I’ve ever had with a local business. The fence was never completed, and the owner, Scott, was incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful. When I tried to discuss the unfinished work, he basically threatened to sue me if I wanted it finished. It’s a $12,000 fence – a huge investment that was completely wasted. report abuse

  I’m really disappointed with the final result. I’ve been trying to get in touch with Steve, the owner, for over a month now, and haven’t received a single return call. It’s frustrating because I was hoping we could make some adjustments to get it to a satisfactory level, but the manager seems unwilling to consider any changes. Honestly, the lack of communication is concerning, and I feel this type of project would be better suited to a larger company rather than a homeowner like myself.   “Overall, I was really pleased with the work this company did – they produced some very good quality results. While there were a couple of things that didn't quite match the initial promises, they were fantastic at following up and ensuring everything was done right. It’s great to see they’ve been around for a long time too; my parents used them for their chain link fence about 25 years ago, and as far as I know, they’re the oldest fence company in the Annapolis area.” report abuse

  Honestly, I was incredibly frustrated with American Gates. I called Joe to get a gate track repaired after my contractors accidentally damaged it, and he kept pushing the repair back for five days! He just kept delaying, and I ended up having to find someone else to fix it the next day. To add to the problem, he charged me $200 for what turned out to be a simple $50 job. I wouldn’t recommend relying on them for dependable service or fair pricing. report abuse
