  “Working with Katie for my renovation was absolutely fantastic – it really turned things around for me! I wanted to be heavily involved in the design process myself and didn’t need a full-service designer, but I definitely hit some tricky spots along the way. Katie was brilliant; she was so approachable and quickly got a feel for what I was going for, and she always seemed to be ahead of the game, having reviewed the materials I’d sent her beforehand. Her knowledge and experience gave me the confidence I needed when I was feeling totally overwhelmed. I’d had a less-than-great experience with another designer through “The Expert” website, but Katie’s session was such a huge help, that I actually booked a follow-up session just a month later to get her feedback on some new additions to the renovation.” report abuse

  “Katie and her team were absolutely fantastic – they were exactly what we needed for our kitchen remodel. From the start, they were so welcoming and really took the time to understand our vision, which we shared with them through our Pinterest boards. They translated that into some truly stunning mood boards. Honestly, our kitchen looks incredible – it’s exactly the Pinterest-inspired space we’d hoped for, a far cry from the more generic looks we’ve seen elsewhere, like some recent Home Depot remodels. What really set them apart was their experience and knowledge. As it was our first major remodel, we felt completely supported by Katie, Cait, Stephanie, and Melanie. They guided us through every step of the process, and we really appreciated their project management skills and regular site visits. We were in a really tricky situation – we were well into a remodel in California and needed an interior designer to really bring the whole project together. Katie and her team absolutely nailed it. They helped us choose every detail, from the finishes and furniture to the artwork and accessories, and completely transformed our home into exactly what we’d envisioned. What was particularly impressive was their proactive approach; they remotely oversaw the contractors’ work via video conferencing, quickly identifying and addressing issues like window alignment and tile patterns before they became major problems.   Katie Carlin and her team did an absolutely amazing job transforming our first floor. We really just wanted a beautiful renovation, and we were honestly a little overwhelmed with choices at the beginning. Katie skillfully guided us through every detail – from the proportions of our rooms and hallways to the placement of everything from the ceiling beams to the lighting. What we especially appreciated was her ability to blend the new with the old. She seamlessly integrated the new custom woodwork and cabinetry with the existing features of our home, so it’s honestly impossible to tell where the renovation ends and the original structure begins. Katie really took the time to understand our style and preferences, and we loved how she suggested fresh, consistent finishes and fixtures. It was a true collaboration, with her bringing her expertise and us contributing our own ideas.   Katie has been fantastic to work with on our new kitchen design. She’s been incredibly organized and really takes the time to hear and understand our ideas and any concerns we had. The design itself is brilliant – it’s both incredibly practical and has a timeless, classic style that we know will look great for years to come. She’s also been super responsive and prompt with her answers to our questions, which was a huge help for us as we were completely new to the whole process.
