  Ed and James did an absolutely fantastic job renovating our first floor and basement! They tackled everything – a brand new kitchen, a beautiful bath/laundry room, two full bathrooms, new flooring, ceilings, lighting, and painting – and the quality of their work is truly outstanding. What really stood out was their team; they were all incredibly professional, friendly, and trustworthy. Ed and James themselves were always responsive, available to answer our questions, and even helped us out with a couple of small emergencies. It was so reassuring to have such a reliable and approachable team working on our home. Our kitchen designer was also blown away by their craftsmanship. We’re so happy with the results and we’ll definitely be calling them again when we do our second-floor bathrooms! report abuse

  “We were so thrilled with McDonald Contracting – it really took us five years and working with several different contractors to find the right team, but it was absolutely worth the wait! They recently completed a dormer addition to our Cape Cod home, adding a bedroom, bathroom, and office, and the whole process was incredibly smooth. Everyone involved was not only incredibly professional and talented, but also genuinely kind and hardworking. What really stood out was their willingness to handle even the smallest details for us, like installing our TV mount and curtain rods. The price was fair, the timeline was spot on, and we’re so grateful we chose them.   “I can’t recommend McDonald Contracting and Eddie enough! We’ve used them for a few projects now, and our recent kitchen renovation was absolutely fantastic. From removing the wall to create an open-plan space with a gorgeous custom island and bar area, to the new lighting, countertops, and painting, they handled every detail with incredible skill and professionalism. What really stood out was their ability to seamlessly incorporate our existing cabinets – a huge money-saver – and they kept the whole house spotless throughout the entire process. I genuinely felt comfortable and trusted with each of the workers, and even our dog recognized them! Eddie was just fantastic – so attentive, responsive, and a real pleasure to work with.   I couldn’t be happier with the work McDonald Contracting did for me. They were incredibly responsive and one of the first businesses I contacted – out of eight – who actually provided a timeline for the job, which was a huge relief after waiting months for others to even get back to me. They were also very reasonable in price. It was a fairly straightforward job – replacing the bathroom ceiling, repainting, installing a new door and flooring – and they kept me updated almost daily on their progress and addressed any small issues right away.   “We couldn’t be happier with the work McDonald Contracting did for us. Ed, Shawn, and Keith were fantastic – really professional and easy to work with from start to finish. Ed and Shawn kept us completely in the loop with regular updates and were always quick to answer any questions we had, whether it was a quick text or a visit to the house. They were incredibly flexible, and we really appreciated them taking on extra projects like redoing our stairs and updating our living room cabinets alongside the bathroom renovation. Shawn and Keith were especially helpful with the design, and Shawn was always there to oversee everything. The whole project stayed on budget, and Ed even came up with a clever solution for a custom garden window.
