    Anthony from Martel was fantastic – he really went above and beyond to help my dad. His central air unit had completely stopped working, and with him being 91 and so sensitive to the heat, I was really worried. Anthony was able to make a quick adjustment that got it running until the new unit arrives this month. It’s a really old system, over 20 years old, but Martel has always done exceptional work when they’ve come out. Everyone I’ve dealt with there has been so kind, helpful, and efficient. After waiting all afternoon, they simply didn’t show up. I even tried to help them locate my property by sending texts, but I received no response. It was incredibly frustrating, and frankly, they didn’t offer any apology for wasting my time. Hunter, the plumber who did the work, was incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and he really went above and beyond, working tirelessly to replace my corroded washing machine connection. He was also just so polite and friendly. He even took care of a few other small fixes in the bathroom and outside faucet.     “I had a frustrating experience with this company. When I initially called about a minor AC issue, they immediately classified it as an emergency repair, which meant a significantly higher service fee. I explained that it wasn’t a critical situation and I didn’t need immediate, emergency service. They then booked me an appointment three weeks out, which wasn’t what I wanted. Then, just a few hours later, I received a last-minute appointment for the same day with barely any notice, followed by a technician arriving with only 15 minutes’ notice. Despite explaining I hadn't scheduled anything and didn’t need emergency service, he was able to waive the fee. Ultimately, I wasn’t home to schedule anything. More recently, I was able to get a standard service appointment scheduled within two days, but the technician never showed up and didn’t contact me. It felt like they were trying to upsell me, disregarding my preferred timeframe and providing poor customer service. Plus, their rates are noticeably higher than other companies in the area.” report abuse

    Honestly, this was an incredibly frustrating experience. From the very beginning, it felt like they were just trying to get our business, making a lot of promises they couldn’t keep. Once the job was underway, we quickly realized it was all talk and no action. They installed the completely wrong equipment, had to replace it, and, unbelievably, caused damage to our house requiring extensive and costly remodeling to cover up their mistakes. We were simply swapping out old units for new ones, but it turned out they couldn’t even read a tape measure – all the dimensions were wrong. To add insult to injury, they’d ordered cheap knock-offs instead of the Mitsubishi equipment we’d originally purchased, and now they won’t stand behind their work or offer any warranty or service. It’s concerning that they aren’t listed with the Better Business Bureau, and I would strongly advise anyone considering using their services to do thorough research and check online reviews before proceeding. report abuse
