  “I was so relieved when McDonalds Heating came to the rescue when our heat went out at our home in Sturbridge. From the very first call, they were incredibly professional and really helpful, which made a huge difference. They responded so quickly and efficiently, getting the replacement part ordered and everything fixed by the next afternoon. Honestly, I was so grateful – I didn't want to spend another night relying on space heaters.   I’m incredibly frustrated with the ongoing issues I’ve been having with the cleaning service. They know my heating system – a Buderus – requires antifreeze and needs to be monitored at a lower temperature than typical systems. Despite repeatedly calling the day before to remind them about this specific need, the technician consistently shows up without the necessary materials or the allocated time to complete the antifreeze service. It’s unbelievably inconvenient for me to have to take more time off work to fix a problem they should have addressed during the initial appointment. Frankly, it’s unacceptable that they can’t respond to my request the day before. I’ve continued to use their services because they do a good job with the Buderus, but the complete lack of communication and responsiveness is seriously concerning. It feels like they’re not prioritizing my needs, and I’m worried about what will happen if this continues – especially considering we had a freeze-up because the antifreeze level wasn't properly checked. report abuse

  “I was so relieved when McDonald Heating came out to look at my furnace – it was constantly shutting off! The technician was fantastic – really friendly, professional, and took the time to explain exactly what was going on. It turned out the lines were freezing, and he fixed it by properly insulating them. I haven’t had any issues since, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone!” report abuse

  I wanted to express how incredibly grateful I was for Adam’s service last night. He arrived at 11:50 PM to get our heating system going for my family, and I really appreciate him going out of his way to do that, especially sacrificing his sleep.   “I was really impressed with McDonald HVAC – especially with our first experience with them. Justin, our technician, was fantastic. He was incredibly thorough in explaining our tankless boiler and even showed us how to adjust our steam radiator vents. He didn’t just fix the problem, he took the time to walk me through everything and gave me some simple maintenance tips I can do myself.   Overall, we’ve been really pleased with the service we’ve received over the past four years. However, during our recent AC service, the technician unfortunately accidentally went through our ceiling. We appreciate that accidents can happen, and we’re glad they’re working on the repair. We were, however, quite inconvenienced by the hole in our ceiling for a few days, and we feel a credit to the service charge would be appropriate for the disruption. report abuse

  Honestly, my experience with McDonald was really concerning. They were adding a massive markup – 200 to 300% – for a basic thermocouple replacement, which seemed completely unreasonable. Fortunately, my work in plumbing and heating allows me to quickly identify this kind of overcharging. Adding to this, my elderly mother, who is grieving the loss of my father, is a vulnerable person, and I felt they were exploiting that. The “seasonal checkup” they performed clearly missed several important details, and they were still attempting to bill us for it. It also appears many of the positive reviews on this page are likely fake, and I’d encourage the page administrator to investigate this further. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. report abuse
