As a new Taylor Morrison homeowner, we were hoping to add a small tandem garage for our classic cars, but the original builder wasn’t able to accommodate it. It was tough to find a contractor willing to take on the project because the house was so new. Vincent and his team were a breath of fresh air – their knowledge and communication were fantastic. They absolutely nailed the garage addition, keeping us updated constantly and being on-site every day to ensure everything was done to perfection.   “I cannot recommend this company or Vincent. Our experience was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, dishonest. They took $3,000 from us, claiming it was for materials, but never completed any of the work. They constantly requested more money and even threatened to stop working until we paid up. Worse yet, they refused to provide us with any receipts. We had to consider legal action to recover our money, and I strongly advise anyone considering hiring them to proceed with extreme caution.” report abuse

  “I absolutely loved working with EC Design Build. A neighbor suggested them to me after they rebuilt their fence, and I’m so glad I listened! They completely removed a load-bearing wall in my house, and the results are fantastic. From the start, they were incredibly professional and Vincent, the owner, took the time to explain everything in detail and really listened to what I wanted.   “We were absolutely devastated after the recent hailstorm – 2-inch hail caused significant damage to our home in the 78729 area, including our roof, attic, and walls. Dealing with our insurance company, Mercury Insurance, was incredibly frustrating; it took over four months to even get a small approval for repairs, and they were almost impossible to reach. Thankfully, a neighbor recommended Vincent and EC Design Builds, and he completely turned things around. Vincent and his team expertly navigated the supplemental claim process, ultimately securing an additional $31,000 from Mercury Insurance – a huge relief! They then took care of absolutely everything, repairing our roof, attic, fence, trees, drywall, paint, and even cleaning our air ducts. The whole team was so polite, hardworking, and professional. Honestly, we can’t recommend Vincent and EC Design Builds highly enough.   “I’m incredibly disappointed with Vince and his team. We hired them to remove a tree, and it was a truly awful experience. Vince came highly recommended, and he initially quoted us a price that matched the lowest estimate we received from three other companies – between $2700 and $3000. However, once they were on our property, they suddenly raised the price to nearly $5200! They even let a large limb fall onto our neighbor’s fence, causing significant damage. To make matters worse, they then left it to us to handle the repairs – which only cost $300. It felt completely unprofessional and unreasonable, especially since they hadn’t even assessed the tree size beforehand. We ended up using a different, much more reliable company who finished the job in just three hours for half the price. Honestly, avoid Vince and his team – you’re better off going with someone else.” report abuse
