“We were really disappointed with our experience. We hired this company for a site visit and consultation on our commercial project, and it felt incredibly misleading. The consultation was conducted via Zoom, but the consultant only showed us photos he’d taken of the site—photos he refused to provide us with copies of. He hadn’t actually seen the site himself and, frankly, seemed to be just guessing about how our project could be approached. He aggressively pushed for a design contract, and it was clear he couldn't offer any genuinely informed advice without a proper on-site assessment. To add to the frustration, when we requested copies of the photos, they attempted to charge us an additional $600. It felt like we were being taken advantage of for $1250 – a hefty price for a consultation that was essentially a formality. Plus, he was late joining the Zoom meeting. We definitely wouldn’t recommend this company.”

“Overall, I was incredibly impressed with [Company Name]. I spoke to several structural engineering firms for this renovation, and they were the only ones who prioritized a thorough initial assessment, including X-raying the foundation, to ensure the project’s viability – that really built my trust from the outset. Throughout the entire process, from design to execution, they consistently went above and beyond, providing construction-ready drawings and readily accommodating all my revisions. And to top it off, their pricing was very reasonable. It was a truly positive experience.”

“I can’t recommend A1 Engineering. I hired them to design the structural frame for my house, and unfortunately, I’m now facing a really difficult situation with a lot of problems. As a builder, you absolutely need reliable engineering documents, and A1 just didn’t deliver. Throughout the project, we bounced between three different engineers – which seemed to be a recurring issue with their team – and we repeatedly found errors in their designs, even after they reviewed them again. Paying for their services felt completely wasted because the engineering was simply not correct. The biggest issue was a conflict over materials that ended up costing me over $8,000 to fix. What was most frustrating was their initial willingness to help quickly evaporated once it became clear the problem stemmed from their own process. They essentially went silent on any compensation. They even told me they understood the urgency and would be in touch, but I never received those emails – it felt like I was being left completely in the dark. I tried to work with them respectfully and find a solution, but they just didn’t stand behind their work. Honestly, you absolutely can’t afford to take chances with engineering; it’s too critical to your project’s success. I strongly advise finding a different engineering firm – it’s the only way to go.”

Seriously, I couldn’t be happier! Everyone was fantastic, and Traci was absolutely amazing – five stars all around!

“I’m incredibly frustrated with this process. We’ve been waiting over a month for the final drawings, and now they’re demanding payment for a revision – a revision that was entirely their mistake. Worse, they refuse to release the drawings until we pay up, and they haven’t returned any of our calls. This is seriously holding up my home refinance, which I desperately need to complete.”

“I initially liked the quote they gave me for the framing and foundation design, and I let them know I was interested in moving forward. They requested my phone number to discuss things further, which I provided. However, I never heard back from them at all. I spent a frustrating five days trying to get in touch – their phone would just ring and ring with no one answering, and they stopped responding to my emails too. Finally, after a huge wait, I managed to get through to someone, only to be told my contact person was on the line and would call me back. Of course, she never did. It was just incredibly difficult to get a simple confirmation of the job.”

It’s a really lovely spot – that rooftop patio is fantastic. The only downside is that it’s a little tucked away; it’s a bit of a walk from the main area.
