  “My husband and I embarked on a really ambitious remodel of our existing home back in 2018 – we were transforming a 1980s house into the modern, sleek space we’d always dreamed of. It was a challenging project, with a sloped lot, limited construction space, and a lot of active neighbors, plus the constant activity from the nearby golf course. We were so lucky to choose Melde Construction, and from the very first meeting with Bernie Calcote, we knew we’d found the right team. Bernie truly understood our vision and the project itself, and his enthusiasm was infectious. Throughout the entire process, the Melde team was incredibly supportive, working seamlessly with our architects and designer to tackle every obstacle. Our project manager, Kellen Hood, was fantastic – he was always proactive in keeping us informed, skillfully managing the trades and our neighbors, and treating us with genuine respect. We felt completely confident that Melde had our best interests at heart. We finished our beautiful home in the spring of 2020, and it’s been a joy to live in ever since. It was even featured on the AIA Homes Tour in 2021, which was a wonderful recognition of all the hard work.
