  Overall, we had a fantastic experience building our dream home with Ideal Homes of Barnum. We wholeheartedly recommend them – we’d absolutely suggest them to anyone considering building. It’s funny – we’d been dealing with another contractor for over three years, and it was just a really slow and frustrating process with lots of delays and price increases. Thankfully, things really took off when we switched to Ideal, and they got us moving forward the very next day. From our initial conversation about 1.5 years ago, we now have a beautiful country home with a full basement and attached garage. Ideal did a great job recommending us to reliable contractors like Shelton Excavating and Bobby Kent Well Drilling, and the on-site staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The owners were always involved, which we really appreciated. We were especially impressed with the team who carefully moved our house down our long, tree-lined driveway. We’d give them four and a half stars – building a house is a massive undertaking, and naturally, there were a few things we wish we’d been informed about sooner. But, all in all, we’re so happy with our new home and looking forward to many years of enjoying it.   Overall, this place was fantastic! The houses were absolutely beautiful, and the staff were wonderful. I especially want to commend JR – he was a real pleasure to work with and brought a great sense of humor to the whole experience. It truly felt like a home away from home. report abuse

  I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience buying a home from Ideal Homes. I purchased the property four years ago, and it’s already falling apart. To date, there’s been absolutely no follow-up or concern from them regarding the issues we’ve encountered – we’ve had several problems and haven’t received a single check-in. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend buying a home from Ideal Homes. report abuse
